Abu Qilabah narrated that Abu Umayyah Ad-Damri (رضي الله تعالى عنه) told him that, he came to the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) from a journey, and he was fasting. The Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said to him, ‘won't you come and have meal for the breakfast?’ He said, ‘I am fasting.’ The Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, come and I will tell you about fasting. Allah, the mighty and sublime, has waived fasting and half of the prayer from the traveler.’

ابوامیہ ضمری رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ وہ سفر سے رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پاس آئے اور وہ روزے سے تھے، تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ان سے کہا: ” ( تم جانا چاہتے ہو ) کیا، تم دوپہر کے کھانے کا انتظار نہیں کرو گے“، انہوں نے کہا: میں روزے سے ہوں، تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”آؤ میں روزے سے متعلق تمہیں بتاتا ہوں۔ اللہ عزوجل نے مسافر کو روزے کی چھوٹ دی ہے اور نماز آدھی کر دی ہے“۔
Abu Amiya Zamri (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke woh safar se Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pas aaye aur woh roze se the, to Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne un se kaha: "(Tum jaana chahte ho) kya, tum dopahar ke khane ka intezar nahin karo ge", unhon ne kaha: "main roze se hun", to Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Ao main roze se mutalliq tumhein batata hun. Allah Azzawajal ne musafir ko roze ki chhoot de di hai aur namaz adhi kar di hai".
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلاَبَةَ، أَنَّ أَبَا أُمَيَّةَ الضَّمْرِيَّ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ، أَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْ سَفَرٍ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " أَلاَ تَنْتَظِرِ الْغَدَاءَ " . قَالَ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " تَعَالَ أُخْبِرْكَ عَنِ الصِّيَامِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَضَعَ عَنِ الْمُسَافِرِ الصِّيَامَ وَنِصْفَ الصَّلاَةِ " .
Sunan an-Nasa'i 2273
Abu Oilabah narrated from a man, that Abu Umayyah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) told him that he came to the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) from a journey, and he narrated something similar.

ابوامیہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ وہ رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پاس سفر سے آئے، آگے راوی نے پوری روایت اسی طرح ذکر کی۔
Abu Aamiya (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke woh Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke paas safar se aaye, aage raawi ne poori riwayat isi tarah zikr ki.
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا عَلِيٌّ، عَنْ يَحْيَى، عَنْ أَبِي قِلاَبَةَ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، أَنَّ أَبَا أُمَيَّةَ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ، أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْ سَفَرٍ نَحْوَهُ .
Sunan an-Nasa'i 2274
Anas ( رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, ‘Allah has waived half of the prayer and fasting for the traveler, and from pregnant women and the sick.

انس (قشیری) رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”اللہ تعالیٰ نے مسافر سے آدھی نماز اور روزے کی چھوٹ دی ہے اور، حاملہ اور دودھ پلانے والی عورت کو بھی“ ( روزے کی چھوٹ دی ہے ) ۔
Anas (Qushairi) razi Allah anhu se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah ﷺ ne farmaya: "Allah ta'ala ne musafir se aadhi namaz aur roze ki chhoot di hai aur, hamil aur doodh pilane wali aurat ko bhi" (roze ki chhoot di hai).
Ayyub narrated from a Shaikh of Qushair, from his paternal uncle; then we met him concerning some camels of his, and Abu Qilabah said to him, tell it to us. The old man said, ‘my paternal uncle told me that he went to the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), concerning some camels of his, while he was eating. He said, 'come and eat.' he said 'he was fasting.' The Prophet ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, 'Allah, the mighty and sublime, has waived half of the prayer and fasting for the traveler, the pregnant woman and the sick.’

ایوب قبیلہ قشیر کے ایک شیخ سے، اور وہ قشیری اپنے چچا ۱؎ سے روایت کرتے ہیں، (ایوب کہتے ہیں) ہم سے حدیث بیان کی گئی، پھر ہم نے انہیں ( شیخ قشیری کو ) ان کے اونٹوں میں پایا، تو ان سے ابوقلابہ نے کہا: آپ ان سے ( ایوب سے ) حدیث بیان کیجئے تو ( قشیری ) شیخ نے کہا: مجھ سے میرے چچا نے بیان کیا کہ وہ اپنے اونٹوں میں گئے، اور نبی اکرم ﷺ کے پاس پہنچے، آپ کھانا کھا رہے تھے ( راوی کو شک ہے «یا ٔکل» کہا یا «یطعم» کہا ) آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”قریب آؤ اور کھانا کھاؤ“ ( راوی کو شک ہے «ادن فکل» کہا یا «ادن فاطعم» کہا ) تو میں نے کہا: «مںَ صائم» ہوں۔ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”اللہ تعالیٰ نے مسافر کو آدھی نماز اور روزے کی چھوٹ دے دی ہے، اور حاملہ عورت اور دودھ پلانے والی عورت کو بھی“ ۲؎۔
ayub qabilah qashir ke ek shaikh se, aur woh qashiri apne chacha 1 se riwayat karte hain, (ayub kehte hain) hum se hadees bayan ki gayi, phir hum ne unhein (shaikh qashiri ko) un ke unton mein paya, to un se abuqalabah ne kaha: aap un se (ayub se) hadees bayan kijiye to (qashiri) shaikh ne kaha: mujh se mere chacha ne bayan kiya ke woh apne unton mein gaye, aur nabi akram salallahu alaihi wasallam ke pas pahunche, aap khana kha rahe the (ravi ko shak hai «ya ٔkal» kaha ya «yata'am» kaha) aap salallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya: ”qareeb aao aur khana khaao“ (ravi ko shak hai «adin fikal» kaha ya «adin fat'am» kaha) to maine kaha: «man saim» hun. aap salallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya: ”allah ta'ala ne musafir ko aadhi namaz aur roze ki chhoot de di hai, aur hamil aurat aur doodh pilane wali aurat ko bhi“ 2.
Ayyub narrated that Abu Qilabah reported this Hadith to us, then he said, 'do you want to meet the one who narrated this Hadith?' He directed me to him, and I met him, and he said, 'a relative of his who was called to the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) concerning some camels that had been taken away. When he saw the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) he was eating, and he called him to eat with him, but he said, he was fasting.' The Prophet ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, 'come close and I will tell you about that. Allah has waived fasting and half of the prayer for the traveler.’

ایوب کہتے ہیں کہ مجھ سے ابوقلابہ نے یہ حدیث بیان کی، پھر مجھ سے کہا: کیا آپ اس حدیث کے بیان کرنے والے سے ملنا چاہیں گے؟ پھر انہوں نے ان کی طرف میری رہنمائی کی، تو میں جا کر ان سے ملا، انہوں نے کہا: مجھ سے میرے ایک رشتہ دار نے جنہیں انس بن مالک کہا جاتا ہے نے بیان کیا کہ میں اپنے اونٹوں کے سلسلے میں جو پکڑ لیے گئے تھے رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پاس آیا، میں پہنچا تو آپ کھانا کھا رہے تھے، تو آپ نے مجھے اپنے کھانے میں شریک ہونے کے لیے بلایا۔ میں نے عرض کیا: میں روزے سے ہوں۔ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”قریب آؤ میں تمہیں اس کے متعلق بتاتا ہوں، ( سنو ) اللہ تعالیٰ نے مسافر کو روزہ، اور آدھی نماز کی چھوٹ دی ہے“۔
Ayub kehte hain ke mujh se Abu Qalaaba ne yeh Hadith bayan ki, phir mujh se kaha: Kya aap is Hadith ke bayan karne wale se milna chahenge? Phir unhon ne un ki taraf meri rehnumai ki, to main ja kar un se mila, unhon ne kaha: Mujh se mere ek rishthedar ne jinhon ko Anas bin Malik kaha jata hai ne bayan kiya ke main apne unton ke silsile mein jo pakad liye gaye the Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pass aaya, main pahuncha to aap khana kha rahe the, to aap ne mujhe apne khane mein sharek hone ke liye bulaya. Main ne arz kiya: Main roze se hun. Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: ”Qareeb aao main tumhen is ke mutalliq batata hun, ( suno ) Allah Ta'ala ne musafir ko roza, aur aadhi namaz ki chhut di hai“.
Abu Qilabah narrated that a man said, he came to the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) to discuss something and he was eating breakfast. The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, 'come and eat.' he said, 'he was fasting.' The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, 'come and I will tell you about fasting. Allah has waived half of prayer and fasting from the traveler, and he has granted a concession to pregnant women and the sick.’

ایک صحابی کہتے ہیں میں ایک ضرورت سے رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پاس پہنچا اتفاق کی بات آپ اس وقت دوپہر کا کھانا کھا رہے تھے، آپ نے کہا: آؤ کھانا میں شریک ہو جاؤ، میں نے عرض کیا: میں روزے سے ہوں، آپ نے فرمایا: آؤ میں تمہیں روزے کے متعلق بتاتا ہوں، اللہ تعالیٰ نے مسافر کو آدھی نماز اور روزے کی چھوٹ دی ہے، اور حاملہ اور دودھ پلانے والی عورت کو بھی چھوٹ دی ہے ۔

Hani bin Ash-Shikhkhir narrated from a man from Balharish, that his father said, ‘I was traveling, and I came to the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) when I was fasting, and he was eating. He said, come (and eat).' I said, 'I am fasting.' He said, 'come here; do you not know what Allah has waived for the traveler?' I said, 'what has Allah waived for the traveler?' He said, 'fasting and half of the prayer.’

ہانی بن شخیر بلحریش کے ایک شخص سے اور وہ اپنے والد سے روایت کرتے ہیں، وہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں مسافر تھا تو میں نبی اکرم ﷺ کے پاس آیا، اور میں روزے سے تھا، اور آپ کھانا تناول فرما رہے تھے، آپ نے فرمایا: ”آؤ“ ( کھانے میں شریک ہو جاؤ ) میں نے عرض کیا: میں روزے سے ہوں۔ آپ نے فرمایا: ”ادھر آؤ، کیا تمہیں اس چیز کا علم نہیں جو اللہ تعالیٰ نے مسافر کو چھوٹ دی ہے“۔ میں نے کہا: اللہ نے مسافر کو کیا چھوٹ دی ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: روزے کی، اور آدھی نماز کی۔
Hani bin Shukhair Bilharish ke ek shakhs se aur woh apne wald se riwayat karte hain, woh kehte hain ke main musafir tha to main Nabi e Akram Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam ke pas aaya, aur main rozay se tha, aur aap khana tanawul farma rahe the, aap ne farmaya: “Ao” ( khanay mein sharik ho jao ) main ne arz kiya: main rozay se hoon. Aap ne farmaya: “Idhar ao, kya tumhein is chez ka ilm nahi jo Allah Ta'ala ne musafir ko chhoti di hai” . Main ne kaha: Allah ne musafir ko kya chhoti di hai? Aap ne farmaya: Rozay ki, aur aadhi namaz ki.
Hani bin Abdullah bin Ash-Shikhkhir narrated from Balharish, from a man from Balharish, that his father said, ‘we had been traveling for as long as Allah willed, then we came to the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and he was eating. He said, 'come and eat.' I said, 'I am fasting.' The Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, 'I will tell you about fasting. Allah has waived fasting and half of the prayer for the traveler.’

ہانی بن عبداللہ بن شخیر بلحریش کے ایک شخص سے اور وہ اپنے والد سے روایت کرتے ہیں، وہ کہتے ہیں کہ جب تک اللہ تعالیٰ کو منظور رہا ہم سفر کرتے رہے، پھر ہم رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پاس آئے، آپ کھانا تناول فرما رہے تھے، آپ نے فرمایا: ”آؤ کھانا کھاؤ“، میں نے عرض کیا: میں روزے سے ہوں۔ تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: میں تمہیں روزے کے متعلق بتاتا ہوں: اللہ تعالیٰ نے مسافر سے روزے کی چھوٹ دی ہے، اور آدھی نماز کی بھی۔
Haani bin `Abd-Allâh bin Shukhair Bilharish ke ek shakhs se aur woh apne walid se riwayat karte hain, woh kehte hain ke jab tak Allâh Ta`ala ko manzoor raha hum safar karte rahe, phir hum Rasool-Allâh (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke paas aaye, Aap khana tanaawul farma rahe the, Aap ne farmaya: "Ao khana khaoo", main ne `arz kiya: main roze se hoon. To Rasool-Allâh (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "main tumhein roze ke mutaliq batata hoon: Allâh Ta`ala ne musafir se roze ki chhoat de hai, aur aadhi namaz ki bhi."
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلاَّمٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ، عَنْ هَانِئِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، مِنْ بَلْحَرِيشٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ كُنَّا نُسَافِرُ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ فَأَتَيْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَهُوَ يَطْعَمُ فَقَالَ " هَلُمَّ فَاطْعَمْ " . فَقُلْتُ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " أُحَدِّثُكُمْ عَنِ الصِّيَامِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَضَعَ عَنِ الْمُسَافِرِ الصَّوْمَ وَشَطْرَ الصَّلاَةِ " .
Sunan an-Nasa'i 2281
Hani bin Abdullah bin Shikhkhir narrated that his father said, ‘I was traveling, and I came to the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) when he was eating, and I was fasting. He said, 'come and eat.' I said, 'I am fasting.' He said, 'do you know what Allah has waived for the traveler?' he said, 'do you know what Allah has waived for the traveler?' I said, 'what has Allah waived for the traveler?' He said, 'fasting and half of the prayer.’

عبداللہ بن شخیر کہتے ہیں کہ میں مسافر تھا، رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پاس آیا، آپ کھانا کھا رہے تھے اور میں روزے سے تھا، آپ نے فرمایا: آؤ ( کھانا کھا لو ) میں نے کہا: میں روزے سے ہوں۔ آپ نے فرمایا: کیا تمہیں وہ چیز معلوم ہے جس کی اللہ نے مسافر کو چھوٹ دی ہے؟، میں نے کہا: کس چیز کی اللہ تعالیٰ نے مسافر کو چھوٹ دی ہے؟، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”روزے اور آدھی نماز کی“۔
Abdul'lah bin Shakh'ir kehte hain ke main musafir tha, Rasul-Allah sal'llahu alaihi wa sallam ke paas aya, aap khana kha rahe the aur main roze se tha, aap ne farmaya: Aao (khana kha lo) main ne kaha: main roze se hun. Aap ne farmaya: Kya tumhein woh cheez maloom hai jis ki Allah ne musafir ko chhoat di hai?, main ne kaha: Kis cheez ki Allah Ta'ala ne musafir ko chhoat di hai?, Aap sal'llahu alaihi wa sallam ne farmaya: "Roze aur aadhi namaz ki".
Ghalian narrated that he went out with Abu Qilabah on a journey, and he brought some food. I said, 'I am fasting.' He said, 'the Apostle of Allah went out on a journey and brought some food, and said to a man, come and eat. He said, I am fasting. He said, Allah has waived for the traveler half of the prayer and fasting when traveling, so come and eat. So, I came close and ate.'

غیلان کہتے ہیں میں ابوقلابہ کے ساتھ ایک سفر میں نکلا ( کھانے کے وقت ) انہوں نے کھانا میرے آگے بڑھایا تو میں نے کہا: میں تو روزے سے ہوں، اس پر انہوں نے کہا: رسول اللہ ﷺ ایک سفر میں نکلے، آپ نے کھانا آگے بڑھاتے ہوئے ایک شخص سے کہا: ”قریب آ جاؤ کھانا کھاؤ“، اس نے کہا: میں روزے سے ہوں، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا ـ: ”اللہ تعالیٰ نے مسافر کے لیے آدھی نماز کی اور سفر میں روزے کی چھوٹ دی ہے“۔ تو اب آؤ کھاؤ، تو میں قریب ہو گیا، اور کھانے لگا۔
Ghailan kehte hain main Abu Qalabah ke sath ek safar mein nikla (khanay ke waqt) unhon ne khana mere aage barhaya to main ne kaha: main to roze se hoon, is par unhon ne kaha: Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ek safar mein nikle, aap ne khana aage barhate hue ek shakhs se kaha: “Qareeb aa jao khana khaao”, us ne kaha: main roze se hoon, aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya -: “Allah Ta'ala ne musafir ke liye aadhi namaz ki aur safar mein roze ki chhoti de hai”. To ab ao khaao, to main qareeb ho gaya, aur khanay laga.
