Sunan an-Nasa'i 2267
Amr bin Umayyah Ad-Damri (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that he came to the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) from a journey, and he said, 'stay and have a meal to break the fast, O Abu Umayyah (رضي الله تعالى عنه).' He said he is fasting. The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, 'come close to me and I will tell you about the traveler. Allah, the mighty and sublime, has waived fasting and half of the prayer for him.’

عمرو بن امیہ ضمری رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں ایک سفر سے رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پاس پہنچا، آپ نے فرمایا: ”اے ابوامیہ! ( بیٹھو ) صبح کے کھانے کا انتظار کر لو“، میں نے عرض کیا: میں روزے سے ہوں، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”آؤ میرے قریب آ جاؤ، میں تمہیں مسافر سے متعلق بتاتا ہوں، اللہ عزوجل نے اس سے روزے معاف کر دیا ہے اور آدھی نماز بھی“ ۔
Amr bin Umayya Dhimri (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke main aik safar se Rasoolallah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pas pahuncha, aap ne farmaya: "ay Abu Umayya! (betho) subh ke khane ka intezar kar lo", main ne arz kiya: main roze se hoon, aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "ao mere qareeb aa jao, main tumhen musafir se mutalliq batata hoon, Allah Azzawajal ne is se roze maaf kar diye hain aur aadhi namaz bhi"
أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الأَوْزَاعِيُّ، عَنْ يَحْيَى، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ أُمَيَّةَ الضَّمْرِيُّ، قَالَ قَدِمْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْ سَفَرٍ فَقَالَ " انْتَظِرِ الْغَدَاءَ يَا أَبَا أُمَيَّةَ " . فَقُلْتُ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ . فَقَالَ " تَعَالَ ادْنُ مِنِّي حَتَّى أُخْبِرَكَ عَنِ الْمُسَافِرِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَضَعَ عَنْهُ الصِّيَامَ وَنِصْفَ الصَّلاَةِ " .
