Our master Shaddad bin Aus, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, Allah has prescribed proficiency in all things. So when you kill, kill well; and when you slaughter, slaughter well. Let each one of you sharpen his blade and let him give comfort to his sacrifice.”

سیدنا شداد بن اوس رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں: رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”بے شک اللہ تعالیٰ نے ہر چیز پر احسان اور نیکی لکھ دی ہے، جب تم کسی کو قتل کرو تو اچھی طرح قتل کرو، اور جب تم ذبح کرو تو اچھی طرح کرو۔ اپنی چھری تیز کرو اور اپنے ذبیحے کو آرام پہنچاؤ۔“
Sayyiduna Shaddad bin Aus (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kahte hain: Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Be shak Allah Ta'ala ne har cheez par ehsan aur neki likh di hai, jab tum kisi ko qatl karo to acchi tarah qatl karo, aur jab tum zibah karo to acchi tarah karo. Apni chhuri tez karo aur apne zabiha ko aaram pahunchao."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَوْحٍ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّرْجُمَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَبُو حَفْصٍ الأَبَّارُ ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلابَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الأَشْعَثِ الصَّنْعَانِيِّ ، عَنْ شَدَّادِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَتَبَ الإِحْسَانَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ، فَإِذَا قَتَلْتُمْ فَأَحْسِنُوا الْقِتْلَةَ، وَإِذَا ذَبَحْتُمْ فَأَحْسِنُوا الذَّبْحَ، وَلْيُحِدَّ أَحَدُكُمْ شَفْرَتَهُ، وَلْيُرِحْ ذَبِيحَتَهُ"، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، إِلا أَبُو حَفْصٍ الأَبَّارِ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ التَّرْجُمَانِيُّ
