حضرت مجاہد سے روایت ہے۔ وہ کہتے ہیں کہ حضرت ام ہانی فرماتی ہیں۔ جناب نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) مکہ میں اس حالت میں داخل ہوئے کہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی چار مینڈھیاں تھیں۔

حضرت یحییٰ بن عبداللہ سے روایت ہے۔ وہ کہتے ہیں کہ جناب نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے حضرت قتادہ سے مزاح کیا۔ فرمایا : ” میں ضرور بالضرور تمہاری زلفیں کاٹ دوں گا۔ “ حضرت ابو قتادہ نے فرمایا : آپ کے لیے ان کی جگہ ایک قیدی ہے۔ پھر اس کے بعد آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ان سے فرمایا : ” ان کا خیال کرو۔ “ چنانچہ حضرت قتادہ اس کے بعد زلفوں کے لیے خاص خوشبو بنایا کرتے تھے۔

Hazrat Ubaid Ullah bin Mughirah se riwayat hai. Woh kehte hain ke mujhe iss aadmi ne yeh baat bayan ki. Jis mein main mujrim nahi samajhta ke usne Hazrat Muaiqib ko dekha ke unhon ne apne samne ke baalon ko apni aankhon ke aage chhoda hua tha. Aur unhon ne Hazrat Saad bin Maalik ko bhi isi tarah dekha tha.
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn 'Abbas. He said that the People of the Book used to part their hair, and the polytheists used to shave the middle of their heads. In those matters about which the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was not given any command, in those matters he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) liked to conform to the People of the Book. The narrator says, so he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) parted the front of his hair, that is, left it open, then he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) parted it.
حضرت ابن عباس سے روایت ہے۔ وہ کہتے ہیں کہ اہل کتاب اپنے بالوں کا سدل کیا کرتے تھے اور مشرکین اپنے سروں میں مانگ نکالا کرتے تھے۔ جن کاموں میں جناب نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو کوئی حکم نہیں دیا جاتا تھا۔ ان کاموں میں آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) اہل کتاب کی موافقت کو پسند کرتے تھے۔ راوی کہتے ہیں۔ چنانچہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اپنے سامنے والے بالوں کو سدل یعنی کھلا چھوڑا پھر اس کے بعد آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے مانگ نکالی۔
Hazrat Ibn Abbas se riwayat hai. Woh kehte hain ke ahl e kitab apne baalon ka sidl kya karte thay aur mushrikeen apne saron mein maang nikala karte thay. Jin kaamon mein janab nabi kareem (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ko koi hukm nahin diya jata tha. Un kaamon mein aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ahl e kitab ki muwafqat ko pasand karte thay. Rawi kehte hain. Chunancha aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne apne samne wale baalon ko sidl yani khula chhora phir uske baad aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne mang nikali.
It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Ayesha (may Allah be pleased with her). She says that I used to part the hair of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) from the back of the upper part of his head and then I used to leave the hair on your (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forehead.
