Hazrat Ash'as narrates that Hazrat Shua'bi said: A murdered person belonging to the tribe of Hamdan was found dead between Wadi'ah and Khiwan, so Hazrat Umar sent Hazrat Mughirah bin Shubah along with those people and said: Go with them and measure the distance between the two towns. Then, whichever of the two is closer to the murdered person, assign the bloodwit to the people of that town.
حضرت اشعث فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت شعبی نے ارشاد فرمایا : ایک مقتول شخص جس کا تعلق ھمدان سے تھا وہ وادعہ اور خیوان کے درمیان مردہ حالت میں پایا گیا تو حضرت عمر نے ان لوگوں کے ساتھ حضرت مغیرہ بن شعبہ کو بھیجا اور فرمایا : تم ان کے ساتھ جاؤ اور دونوں بستوں کے درمیان فاصلہ کی پیمائش کرو۔ پس ان دونوں میں سے مقتول کے جو بھی قریب ہو تو اس مقتول کو ان بستی والوں سے ملاد و۔
Hazrat Ashas farmate hain keh Hazrat Shoebi ne irshad farmaya: Ek maqtool shakhs jis ka taluq Hamdan se tha woh Wadhea aur Khiwan ke darmiyaan murda halat mein paya gaya to Hazrat Umar ne un logon ke sath Hazrat Mugheera bin Shoeba ko bhi bheja aur farmaya: Tum un ke sath jao aur donon baston ke darmiyaan fasle ki pemaish karo. Pas un donon mein se maqtool ke jo bhi qareeb ho to us maqtool ko un basti walon se mila do.
Abu Ishaq narrated that Harith bin Mu'awiyah said: "A murdered person was found between Wadi'ah and Arhab in Yemen, so the governor of 'Umar wrote to him about it. 'Umar wrote back to his governor: 'Measure the distance between the two localities. Then, from whichever of the two localities he is closest to, seize the bloodwit from them."
حضرت ابو اسحاق فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت حارث بن ازمع نے فرمایا : یمن کے علاقہ وادعہ اور ارحب کے درمیان ایک مقتول پایا گیا تو حضرت عمر کے گورنر نے آپ کو اس بارے میں خط لکھا ؟ حضرت عمر نے اس گورنر کو جواب لکھا کہ تم ان دونوں محلوں کے درمیان پیمائش کرو پس ان دونوں سے وہ مقتول جس کے قریب ہو تو اس کے بدلہ ان کو پکڑ لو۔

Hazrat Umar ne is governor ko jawab likha keh tum in donon mohalon ke darmiyan pemaish karo pas in donon se woh maqtool jis ke qareeb ho to us ke badle in ko pakad lo.
