Hazrat Saad narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The best remembrance [of Allah] is that which is done slowly and distinctly.
حضرت سعد فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ارشاد فرمایا : بہترین ذکر وہ ہے جو آہستہ ہو۔
Hazrat Saad farmate hain ke Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne irshad farmaya: Behtarin zikr wo hai jo ahesta ho.
Hazrat Abu Musa Ash'ari narrates that we were with the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) on a journey. People were reciting Takbeer in a loud voice. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Be gentle on yourselves. You are not calling upon one who is deaf or absent. Rather, you are calling upon the One Who is All-Hearing, Ever-Near, and He is with you.
حضرت ابو موسیٰ فرماتے ہیں کہ ہم لوگ ایک سفر میں نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے ساتھ تھے۔ پس لوگ بلند آواز میں تکبیر کہہ رہے تھے۔ تو نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ارشاد فرمایا : اپنی جانوں پر نرمی کرو۔ تم لوگ کسی بہرے کو اور نہ ہی غیر موجود کو پکار رہے ہو۔ بلکہ تم لوگ ایسی ذات کو پکار رہے ہو جو سننے والا اور قریب ہے اور وہ ذات تمہارے ساتھ ہے۔
Hazrat Abu Musa farmate hain ke hum log aik safar mein Nabi Kareem (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke sath thay. Pas log buland awaz mein takbeer keh rahe thay. To Nabi Kareem (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne irshad farmaya: Apni jaano par narmi karo. Tum log kisi bahire ko aur na hi ghair mojud ko pukar rahe ho. Balke tum log aisi zaat ko pukar rahe ho jo sunne wala aur qareeb hai aur wo zaat tumhare sath hai.
Hazrat Ibn Umar narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: When a worshipper prays, he whispers to his Lord. Therefore, each one of you should consider what he is whispering to Him. And some of you should not raise your voices above others.
حضرت ابن عمر فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ارشاد فرمایا : نمازی جب نماز پڑھتا ہے تو وہ اپنے رب سے سرگوشی کرتا ہے۔ پس چاہیے کہ تم میں سے ہر ایک جان لے کہ وہ اس ذات سے کیا سرگوشی کررہا ہے۔ اور تم میں سے بعض لوگ دوسروں پر آواز بلند نہ کریں۔
Hazrat Ibn Umar farmate hain keh Nabi Kareem (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne irshad farmaya: Namazi jab namaz parhta hai to woh apne Rab se sargosi karta hai. Pas chahiye keh tum mein se har ek jaan le keh woh is zaat se kya sargosi kar raha hai. Aur tum mein se baz log dusron per aawaz buland na karen.
Hazrat Abu Mijlaz narrates that Hazrat Ibn Umar said: O people! You are not calling upon someone who is deaf or absent, meaning he was talking about raising the voice in Dua.
حضرت ابو مجلز فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت ابن عمر نے ارشاد فرمایا : اے لوگو ! تم کسی بہرے اور غائب کو نہیں پکارتے، یعنی وہ دعا میں آواز بلند کرنے سے متعلق بات کر رہے تھے۔
Hazrat Abu Majliz farmate hain keh Hazrat Ibn Umar ne irshad farmaya: Aye logo! tum kisi bahire aur ghaib ko nahi pukarte, yani woh dua mein aawaz buland karne se mutalliq baat kar rahe thay.
Hazrat Abdullah bin Naseeb narrates that I offered prayer behind Hazrat Saeed bin Al-Musayyab. So when I sat down in the second Rak'ah, my voice became louder while supplicating. So they scolded me well. When I finished the prayer, I asked them: "What did you dislike about me?" They said: "What do you think? Is Allah not near to you?!"
حضرت عبداللہ بن نسیب فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے حضرت سعید بن المسیب کے پہلو میں نماز پڑھی ۔ پس جب میں دوسری رکعت میں بیٹھا۔ تو دعا کرتے ہوئے میری آواز بلند ہوگئی۔ تو انھوں نے مجھے خوب جھڑکا۔ جب میں نماز سے فارغ ہوا تو میں نے ان سے پوچھا : آپ کو میری کیا چیز ناپسند لگی ؟ انھوں نے فرمایا : تیرا کیا گمان ہے کیا اللہ تجھ سے قریب نہیں ہے ؟ !
Hazrat Abdullah bin Naseeb farmate hain ke maine Hazrat Saeed bin al-Musayyib ke pahloo mein namaz parhi. Pas jab main doosri rakat mein baitha to dua karte hue meri aawaz buland hogayi. To unhon ne mujhe khoob jhidka. Jab main namaz se farigh hua to maine unse poocha: Aap ko meri kya cheez napasand lagi? Unhon ne farmaya: Tera kya gumaan hai kya Allah tujhse qareeb nahin hai?!
Hazrat Mubarak said that Hazrat Hassan said: The companions used to strive a lot in dua (supplication). And they would not raise their voices above a whisper.
حضرت مبارک فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت حسن نے ارشاد فرمایا : صحابہ دعا میں بہت زیادہ کوشش کرتے تھے۔ اور نہیں سنائی دیتی تھی مگر سرگوشی۔
Hazrat Mubarak farmate hain keh Hazrat Hasan ne irshad farmaya: Sahaba dua mein bohat zyada koshish karte thay. Aur nahin sunaee deti thi magar sergoshi.
