What to supplicate during the Qunut of Fajr prayer.
مَا يَدْعُو بِهِ فِي قُنُوتِ الْفَجْرِ

Hazrat Ubaid bin Umair narrates that I prayed Fajr behind Umar bin Khattab, so he recited this dua in Qunoot of Fajr: O Allah! We seek help from You and we seek forgiveness from You. And we praise You very well. And we are not ungrateful to You. And we separate ourselves and leave the one who disobeys You. O Allah! We worship You alone. And we pray and prostrate only for You. And we run only towards You and present ourselves in Your service. And we are hopeful of Your mercy. And we are afraid of Your punishment. Indeed, Your punishment is going to befall the disbelievers.
حضرت عبید بن عمیر فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے عمر بن خطاب کے پیچھے صبح کی نماز پڑھی ، تو انھوں نے قنوت فجر میں یہ دعا پڑھی : اے اللہ ! ہم تجھ سے مدد مانگتے ہیں اور تجھ سے معافی مانگتے ہیں۔ اور تیری بہت اچھی تعریف کرتے ہیں۔ اور ہم تیری نا شکری نہیں کرتے۔ اور ہم الگ ہوتے ہیں اور چھوڑتے ہیں اس شخص کو جو تیری نافرمانی کرے۔ اے اللہ ! ہم تیری ہی عبادت کرتے ہیں۔ اور تیرے لیے ہی نماز پڑھتے ہیں اور سجدہ کرتے ہیں۔ اور تیری طرف ہی دوڑتے ہیں اور تیری خدمت میں حاضر ہوتے ہیں۔ اور ہم تیری رحمت کے امیدوار ہیں۔ اور ہم تیرے عذاب سے ڈرتے ہیں۔ بیشک تیرا عذاب تو کافروں کو ملنے والا ہے۔
Hazrat Ubaid bin Umair farmate hain ke maine Umar bin Khattab ke peeche subah ki namaz parhi, to unhon ne qanoot fajr mein yeh dua parhi: Aye Allah! Hum tujh se madad mangte hain aur tujh se maafi mangte hain. Aur teri bahut achhi tareef karte hain. Aur hum teri na shukri nahin karte. Aur hum alag hote hain aur chhorte hain uss shakhs ko jo teri nafarmani kare. Aye Allah! Hum teri hi ibadat karte hain. Aur tere liye hi namaz parhte hain aur sijda karte hain. Aur teri taraf hi daurte hain aur teri khidmat mein hazir hote hain. Aur hum teri rehmat ke umeedwar hain. Aur hum tere azab se darte hain. Beshak tera azab to kafiron ko milne wala hai.
Hazrat Hisham narrates that Hazrat Hussain said: I offered Fajr prayer one day, and Uthman bin Ziyad prayed behind me. You say, I recited Qunut Nazilah in Fajr prayer: He says that when my prayer was completed, Uthman bin Ziyad said to me: What dua did you recite in Qunut? So I said: I mentioned these words: O Allah! We ask You for help and we ask You for forgiveness. And we praise You very well and we are not ungrateful to You. And we separate and leave the one who disobeys You. O Allah! We worship only You. And we pray and prostrate only for You. And we run only towards You and present ourselves in Your service. And we hope for Your mercy and we fear Your severe punishment. Surely Your punishment is to be met by the disbelievers. Hazrat Hussain says!: That Uthman bin Ziyad told me: Hazrat Umar bin Khattab and Hazrat Uthman bin Affan both used to do the same.
حضرت ھشیم فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت حصین نے فرمایا : میں نے ایک دن صبح کی نماز پڑھائی، اور عثمان بن زیاد نے میرے پیچھے نماز پڑھی آپ فرماتے ہیں، میں نے صبح کی نماز میں قنوت نازلہ پڑھی : فرماتے ہیں کہ جب میری نماز مکمل ہوئی تو عثمان بن زیاد نے مجھ سے کہا : آپ نے قنوت میں کون سی دعا پڑھی ؟ تو میں نے کہا : میں نے یہ کلمات ذکر کیے : اے اللہ ! ہم تجھ سے مدد مانگتے ہیں اور ہم تجھ سے معافی مانگتے ہیں۔ اور ہم تیری بہت اچھی تعریف کرتے ہیں اور ہم تیری ناشکری نہیں کرتے۔ اور ہم الگ ہوتے اور چھوڑتے ہیں اس شخص کو جو تر ی نافرمانی کرے ۔ اے اللہ ! ہم تیری ہی عبادت کرتے ہیں۔ اور تیرے ہی لیے نماز پڑھتے ہیں اور سجدہ کرتے ہیں۔ اور ہم تیری طرف ہی دوڑتے ہیں اور تیری خدمت میں حاضر ہوتے ہیں۔ اور ہم تیری رحمت کے امیدوار ہیں اور ہم تیرے سخت عذاب سے ڈرتے ہیں۔ بیشک تیرا عذاب کافروں کو ملنے والا ہے۔ حضرت حصین فرماتے ہیں ! کہ عثمان بن زیاد نے مجھے کہا : حضرت عمر بن خطاب اور حضرت عثمان بن عفان دونوں ایسے ہی کیا کرتے تھے۔
Hazrat Hisham farmate hain ke Hazrat Haseen ne farmaya: mein ne ek din subah ki namaz parhai, aur Usman bin Ziyad ne mere peeche namaz parhi. Aap farmate hain, mein ne subah ki namaz mein qunoot nazilah parhi. Farmate hain ke jab meri namaz mukammal hui to Usman bin Ziyad ne mujh se kaha: aap ne qunoot mein kon si dua parhi? To mein ne kaha: mein ne ye kalmaat zikr kiye: Aye Allah! hum tujh se madad mangte hain aur hum tujh se maafi mangte hain. Aur hum teri bahut achhi tareef karte hain aur hum teri nashukri nahin karte. Aur hum alag hote aur chhorte hain us shakhs ko jo teri nafarmani kare. Aye Allah! hum teri hi ibadat karte hain. Aur tere hi liye namaz parhte hain aur sijda karte hain. Aur hum teri taraf hi daurte hain aur teri khidmat mein hazir hote hain. Aur hum teri rehmat ke umeedwar hain aur hum tere sakht azab se darte hain. Beshak tera azab kafiro ko milne wala hai. Hazrat Haseen farmate hain! Ke Usman bin Ziyad ne mujhe kaha: Hazrat Umar bin Khattab aur Hazrat Usman bin Affan dono aise hi kiya karte the.
Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Suwaid Al-Kahili narrates that Hazrat Ali used to recite these two Surahs in Fajr prayer: "O Allah! We seek help from You, and we seek forgiveness from You, and we praise You in the best way, and we are not ungrateful to You, and we part and leave the one who disobeys You." "O Allah! You alone we worship, and for You alone we pray and prostrate, and towards You, we run and hasten. We hope for Your mercy, and we fear Your punishment. Indeed, Your punishment is bound to reach the disbelievers."
حضرت عبد الرحمن بن سوید الکاھلی فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت علی فجر میں ان دو سورتوں کو بطور قنوت کے پڑھتے تھے۔ اے اللہ ! ہم تجھ سے مدد مانگتے ہیں اور ہم تجھ سے معافی مانگتے ہیں اور ہم تیری بہت اچھی تعریف کرتے ہیں اور ہم تیری ناشکری نہیں کرتے اور ہم الگ ہوتے ہیں اور چھوڑتے ہیں اس شخص کو جو تیری نافرمانی کرے۔ اے اللہ ! ہم تیری ہی عبادت کرتے ہیں اور تیرے لیے ہی ہم نماز پڑھتے ہیں اور سجدہ کرتے ہیں اور تیری طرف ہی ہم دوڑتے ہیں اور تیری خدمت میں ہی ہم حاضر ہوتے ہیں۔ ہم تیری رحمت کے امیدوار ہیں اور ہم تیرے عذاب سے ڈرتے ہیں۔ بیشک تیرا عذاب کافروں کو ملنے والا ہے۔
Hazrat Abdul Rahman bin Suwaid al-Kahli farmate hain keh Hazrat Ali fajr mein in do suraton ko ba tor qanoot ke parhte thay. Aye Allah! Hum tujh se madad mangte hain aur hum tujh se maafi mangte hain aur hum teri bahut acchi tareef karte hain aur hum teri nashukri nahi karte aur hum alag hote hain aur chhorte hain us shakhs ko jo teri nafarmani kare. Aye Allah! Hum teri hi ibadat karte hain aur tere liye hi hum namaz parhte hain aur sijda karte hain aur teri taraf hi hum daurte hain aur teri khidmat mein hi hum hazir hote hain. Hum teri rehmat ke umeedwar hain aur hum tere azab se darte hain. Beshak tera azab kafiro ko milne wala hai.
Hazrat Mimun bin Mihran narrates about the recitation of Hazrat Ubayy bin Ka'ab: "O Allah! We seek help from You and we seek forgiveness from You, and we praise You in the best way and we do not deny Your blessings. And we abandon and leave the one who disobeys You. O Allah! We worship only You and we pray and prostrate only for You. And towards You, we run and in Your service, we present ourselves. We are hopeful of Your mercy and we are fearful of Your punishment. Indeed, Your punishment is going to befall the disbelievers."
حضرت میمون بن مھران حضرت ابی بن کعب کی قراءت کے متعلق یوں نقل فرماتے ہیں : اے اللہ ! ہم تجھ سے مدد مانگتے ہیں اور تجھ سے معافی مانگتے ہیں اور ہم تیری بہت اچھی تعریف کرتے ہیں اور ہم تیری ناشکری نہیں کرتے۔ اور ہم الگ ہوتے ہیں اور چھوڑتے ہیں اس شخص کو جو تیری نافرمانی کرے۔ اے اللہ ! ہم تیری ہی عبادت کرتے ہیں اور تیرے ہی لیے ہم نماز پڑھتے ہیں اور سجدہ کرتے ہیں۔ اور تیری ہی طرف ہم دوڑتے ہیں اور خدمت میں حاضر ہوتے ہیں ہم تیری رحمت کے امیدوار ہیں اور ہم تیرے عذاب سے ڈرتے ہیں۔ بیشک تیرا عذاب کافروں کو ملنے والا ہے۔
Hazrat Maimoon bin Mehran Hazrat Ubay bin Ka'ab ki qirat ke mutaliq yun naql farmate hain: Aye Allah! Hum tujh se madad mangte hain aur tujh se maafi mangte hain aur hum teri bohat acchi tareef karte hain aur hum teri nashukri nahi karte. Aur hum alag hote hain aur chhorte hain us shakhs ko jo teri nafarmani kare. Aye Allah! Hum teri hi ibadat karte hain aur tere hi liye hum namaz parhte hain aur sijda karte hain. Aur teri hi taraf hum daurte hain aur khidmat mein hazir hote hain hum teri rehmat ke umeedwar hain aur hum tere azab se darte hain. Beshak tera azab kafiron ko milne wala hai.
Hazrat Ubaid bin Umair narrates that I heard Hazrat Umar bin Khattab reciting this Qunut Nazilah in the Fajr prayer: O Allah! We seek help from You, and we believe in You. And we rely only on You. We praise You very well, and we are not ungrateful to You. O Allah! We worship only You. And we pray and prostrate only for You. And we run towards You and present ourselves in Your service. We are hopeful of Your mercy, and we fear Your punishment. Indeed, Your punishment is going to befall the disbelievers. O Allah! Punish the disbelieving people of the Book. Who hinder from Your path.
حضرت عبید بن عمیر فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے حضرت عمر بن خطاب کو فجر کی نماز میں یوں قنوت نازلہ پڑھتے ہوئے سنا : اے اللہ ! ہم تجھ سے مدد مانگتے ہیں ، اور ہم تجھ پر ایمان لاتے ہیں۔ اور ہم تجھ پر ہی بھروسہ کرتے ہیں ہم تیری بہت اچھی تعریف کرتے ہیں اور ہم ترای ناشکری نہیں کرتے۔ اے اللہ ! ہم تیری ہی عبادت کرتے ہیں۔ اور تیرے لیے ہی ہم نماز پڑھتے ہیں اور سجدہ کرتے ہیں۔ اور تیری ہی طرف دوڑتے ہیں اور خدمت میں حاضر ہوتے ہیں، ہم تیری رحمت کے امید وار ہیں اور ہم تیرے عذاب سے ڈرتے ہیں۔ بیشک تیرے عذاب کافروں کو ملنے والا ہے۔ اے اللہ ! کافر اہل کتاب کو عذاب دے ۔ جو روکتے ہیں تیرے راستہ سے۔
Hazrat Obaid bin Umeir farmate hain keh maine Hazrat Umar bin Khattab ko Fajar ki namaz mein yun Qunoot Nazila parhte huye suna: Aye Allah! Hum tujh se madad mangte hain, aur hum tujh par emaan late hain. Aur hum tujh par hi bharosa karte hain hum teri bahut acchi tareef karte hain aur hum terai nashukri nahin karte. Aye Allah! Hum teri hi ibadat karte hain. Aur tere liye hi hum namaz parhte hain aur sijda karte hain. Aur teri hi taraf daurte hain aur khidmat mein hazir hote hain, hum teri rehmat ke umid waar hain aur hum tere azab se darte hain. Beshak tere azab kafiroon ko milne wala hai. Aye Allah! Kafir ahle kitab ko azab de. Jo rokte hain tere raste se.
