مَا قَالُوا: فِيهِ إِذَا أَسْلَمَ وَعِنْدَهُ عَشْرُ نِسْوَةٍ

Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 17182
It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that when Ghilaan bin Salmah Thaqafi (may Allah be pleased with him) accepted Islam, he had ten wives in his marriage. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to him: Keep four of them.
حضرت ابن عمر (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ غیلان بن سلمہ ثقفی (رض) نے اسلام قبول کیا تو ان کے نکاح میں دس عورتیں تھیں۔ حضور (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ان سے فرمایا کہ ان میں سے چار رکھ لو۔
Hazrat Ibn Umar (RA) se riwayat hai ki Ghailan bin Salma Saqafi (RA) ne Islam qubool kiya to un ke nikah mein das aurten thin. Huzoor (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne un se farmaya ki un mein se chaar rakh lo.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ قَالَ : نا ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ ، وَمَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : أَسْلَمَ غَيْلَانُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ الثَّقَفِيُّ ، وَتَحْتَهُ عَشْرُ نِسْوَةٍ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ : « خُذْ مِنْهُنَّ أَرْبَعًا »
