How much the blood money should be
الدِّيَةُ كَمْ تَكُونُ

It is narrated on the authority of 'Amr b. Shu'aib, on the authority of his father, that a person from Banu Murrah killed a man from Banu Sulaim. 'Umar b. al-Khattab, therefore, gave to the heirs of the deceased one hundred camels, thirty of these being hiqqah (i.e. four-year-old she-camels which enter the fifth year), thirty jadha'ah (i.e. five-year-old she-camels which enter the sixth year), and forty pregnant she-camels.
حضرت عمرو بن شعیب سے مروی ہے کہ تحقیق قتادہ نے جو کہ بنی مدلج کا ایک آدمی تھا اپنے بیٹے کو قتل کردیاتو عمر نے سو اونٹ لیے تیس حقہ (یعنی چوتھے سال میں چلنے والے) اور تیس جذعہ (پانچویں سال میں چلنے والے) اور چالیس حاملہ اونٹنیاں۔
Hazrat Amr bin Shoaib se marvi hai ki taqeeq Qatada ne jo ki Bani Mudlij ka aik aadmi tha apne bete ko qatal kardiya to Umar ne so unt liye tees haqqa aur tees jaz'a aur chalis hamil ounthniyan.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ ،: أَنَّ قَتَادَةَ رَجُلًا مِنْ بَنِي مُدْلِجٍ قَتَلَ ابْنَهُ ، فَأَخَذَ عُمَرُ مِنْهُ مِائَةً مِنَ الْإِبِلِ ثَلَاثِينَ حِقَّةً ، وَثَلَاثِينَ جَذَعَةً ، وَأَرْبَعِينَ خَلِفَةً "
