Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 31685
Abu Wa'il reported: Abdullah said, "Verily, Allah has taken Ibrahim as His Khalil (friend), and your companion (Muhammad) is the Khalil of Allah. Verily, Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is the most honored of all creation in the sight of Allah. Then he recited, 'It may be that your Lord will raise you to Maqam-i-Mahmud (a station of praise and glory).
حضرت ابو وائل فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت عبداللہ نے فرمایا کہ بیشک اللہ نے ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) کو خلیل بنایا ہے، اور تمہارے ساتھی اللہ کے خلیل ہیں، بیشک کہ محمد (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) اللہ کے ہاں مخلوق میں سب سے زیادہ معزّز ہیں، پھر انھوں نے پڑھا { عَسَی أَنْ یَبْعَثَک رَبُّک مَقَامًا مَحْمُودًا }۔
Hazrat Abu Wael farmate hain ke Hazrat Abdullah ne farmaya ke beshak Allah ne Ibrahim (alaihis salam) ko Khalil banaya hai, aur tumhare sathi Allah ke Khalil hain, beshak ke Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) Allah ke haan makhlooq mein sab se zyada moazziz hain, phir unhon ne parha {Asa an yab'asaka Rabbuka maqamam mahmudan}.
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَفْصٍ عَنِ الْمَسْعُودِيِّ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ قَالَ : قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ اتَّخَذَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ خَلِيلًا ، وَإِنَّ صَاحِبَكُمْ خَلِيلُ اللَّهِ وَإِنَّ مُحَمَّدًا أَكْرَمُ الْخَلْقِ عَلَى اللَّهِ ، ثُمَّ قَرَأَ ﴿ عَسَى أَنْ يَبْعَثَكَ رَبُّكَ مَقَامًا مَحْمُودًا ﴾ [ الإسراء : ٧٩ ]
