مَا قَالُوا فِيمَنْ يُبْدَأُ بِهِ فِي الْأَعْطِيَةِ

Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 32895
The father of Hazrat Ja'far (may Allah be pleased with him) states that Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) intended to fix stipends for the people, and your (may Allah be pleased with you) opinion was better than the opinion of all the people. The people said, "Start with yourself." You (may Allah be pleased with you) said, "No!" Then, you (may Allah be pleased with you) began with those who were close to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and then those who were close after them. You (may Allah be pleased with you) fixed the share of Hazrat Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him). Then, (the share) of Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) until you (may Allah be pleased with you) fixed consecutive shares among five tribes until you (may Allah be pleased with you) reached the tribe of Banu Adi.
حضرت جعفر کے والد (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت عمر (رض) نے لوگوں کے لیے عطیہ مقرر کرنے کا ارادہ فرمایا : اور آپ (رض) کی رائے ان سب لوگوں کی رائے سے بہتر تھی۔ لوگوں نے کہا : آپ (رض) اپنے آپ سے ابتدا کریں۔ آپ (رض) نے فرمایا : نہیں ! پھر آپ (رض) نے ابتدا کی ان لوگوں سے جو رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے رشتہ میں قریب تھے اور پھر جو ان کے بعد قریب تھے۔ آپ (رض) نے حضرت عباس (رض) کا حصہ مقرر فرمایا۔ پھر حضرت علی (رض) کا یہاں تک کہ آپ (رض) نے پانچ قبیلوں کے درمیان لگا تار حصہ مقرر فرمایا۔ یہاں تک کہ آپ (رض) قبیلہ بنو عدی تک پہنچے۔
Hazrat Jaffar ke walid (RA) farmate hain ke Hazrat Umar (RA) ne logon ke liye atiya muqarrar karne ka irada farmaya: aur aap (RA) ki raaye in sab logon ki raaye se behtar thi. Logon ne kaha: aap (RA) apne aap se ibtida karen. Aap (RA) ne farmaya: nahi! Phir aap (RA) ne ibtida ki in logon se jo Rasul Allah (SAW) se rishta mein qareeb the aur phir jo in ke baad qareeb the. Aap (RA) ne Hazrat Abbas (RA) ka hissa muqarrar farmaya. Phir Hazrat Ali (RA) ka yahan tak ke aap (RA) ne panch qabailon ke darmiyan laga tar hissa muqarrar farmaya. Yahan tak ke aap (RA) qabeela Banu Adi tak pahunche.
حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ، قَالَ : ثنا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ مَعْنٍ ، عَنْ جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ ، أَرَادَ أَنْ يَفْرِضَ لِلنَّاسِ ، وَكَانَ رَأْيُهُ خَيْرًا مِنْ رَأْيِهِمْ ، فَقَالُوا : ابْدَأْ بِنَفْسِكَ ، فَقَالَ : « لَا ، فَبَدَأَ بِالْأَقْرَبِ فَالْأَقْرَبِ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ ،» فَفَرَضَ لِلْعَبَّاسِ ثُمَّ عَلِيٍّ حَتَّى وَالَى بَيْنَ خَمْسِ قَبَائِلَ حَتَّى انْتَهَى إِلَى بَنِي عَدِيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ
