كِتَابُ الْسير
What they said about polytheists inviting Muslims to improper actions, whether they should respond or be forced to do so.
مَا قَالُوا فِي الْمُشْرِكِينَ يَدْعُونَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ إِلَى غَيْرِ مَا يَنْبَغِي، أَيُجِيبُونَهُمْ أَمْ لَا، وَيُكْرَهُونَ عَلَيْهِ
Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 33037
Hazrat Hasan Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that the spies of Musaylimah the liar caught two Muslim men and took them to Musaylimah the liar. He said to one of them, "Do you testify that Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is the Messenger of Allah?" He said, "Yes!" He again asked, "Do you testify that Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is the Messenger of Allah?" He said, "Yes!" He asked, "Do you testify that I am the Messenger of Allah?" The Sahabi pointed to his ears and said, "I am deaf." Musaylimah the liar said, "What is wrong with you, when I ask you to testify that I am the Messenger of Allah, you say that I am deaf?" So he ordered and the Sahabi was killed. Musaylimah the liar said to the other person, "Do you testify that Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is the Messenger of Allah?" He said, "Yes!" He again asked, "Do you testify that I am the Messenger of Allah?" He said, "Yes!" So he let him go. This man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! I am doomed!" You (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked, "What happened?" He narrated the incident of himself and his companion, then you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Anyway, your companion died in the state of faith, and as for you, you acted upon the permission.
حضرت حسن بصری (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ مسیلمہ کذاب کے جاسوسوں نے مسلمانوں کے دو آدمیوں کو پکڑ لیا اور وہ ان دونوں کو مسیلمہ کذاب کے پاس لے گئے۔ اس نے ان دونوں میں سے ایک کو کہا : کیا تو گواہی دیتا ہے کہ محمد (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) اللہ کے رسول ہیں ؟ اس نے کہا : جی ہاں ! اس نے پھر پوچھا : کیا تو گواہی دیتا ہے کہ محمد (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) اللہ کے رسول ہیں ؟ اس نے کہا : جی ہاں ! اس نے پوچھا : کیا تو گواہی دیتا ہے کہ میں اللہ کا رسول ہوں ؟ ان صحابی نے اپنے کانوں کی طرف اشارہ کیا اور فرمایا کہ میں تو بہرا ہوں۔ مسیلمہ کذاب نے کہا : تجھے کیا مصیبت ہے جب میں تجھ سے پوچھتا ہوں کہ تو گواہی دیتا ہے کہ میں اللہ کا رسول ہوں تو تو کہتا ہے کہ میں بہرا ہوں ؟ پس اس نے حکم دیا اور ان صحابی کو قتل کردیا گیا۔ مسیلمہ کذاب نے دوسرے شخص سے کہا : کیا تو گواہی دیتا ہے کہ محمد (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) اللہ کے رسول ہیں ؟ اس نے کہا : جی ہاں ! اس نے پھر پوچھا : کہ کیا تو گواہی دیتا ہے کہ میں اللہ کا رسول ہوں ؟ اس نے کہا : جی ہاں ! پس اس نے اس ان کو چھوڑ دیا : یہ شخص نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی خدمت میں آیا اور فرمایا : اے اللہ کے رسول 5! میں ہلاک ہوگیا ! آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے پوچھا : کیا ہوا ؟ انھوں نے اپنا اور اپنے ساتھی کا واقعہ بیان کیا، تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : بہرحال تیرا ساتھی تو ایمان کی حالت میں مرا ، اور رہے تم تو تم نے رخصت پر عمل کیا۔
Hazrat Hasan Basri (RA) farmate hain keh Musailma Kazzab ke jasooson ne musalmanon ke do aadmiyon ko pakar liya aur woh un donon ko Musailma Kazzab ke paas le gaye. Usne un donon mein se ek ko kaha: kya tu gawahi deta hai keh Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) Allah ke Rasool hain? Usne kaha: ji haan! Usne phir poocha: kya tu gawahi deta hai keh Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) Allah ke Rasool hain? Usne kaha: ji haan! Usne poocha: kya tu gawahi deta hai keh mein Allah ka Rasool hun? Un Sahabi ne apne kaanon ki taraf ishara kiya aur farmaya keh mein tou bahra hun. Musailma Kazzab ne kaha: tujhe kya musibat hai jab mein tujhse poochta hun keh tu gawahi deta hai keh mein Allah ka Rasool hun tou tu kehta hai keh mein bahra hun? Pas usne hukum diya aur un Sahabi ko qatl kar diya gaya. Musailma Kazzab ne doosre shakhs se kaha: kya tu gawahi deta hai keh Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) Allah ke Rasool hain? Usne kaha: ji haan! Usne phir poocha: keh kya tu gawahi deta hai keh mein Allah ka Rasool hun? Usne kaha: ji haan! Pas usne us in ko chhor diya: yeh shakhs Nabi Kareem (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ki khidmat mein aaya aur farmaya: aye Allah ke Rasool! mein halaak ho gaya! Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne poocha: kya hua? Unhon ne apna aur apne saathi ka waqea bayan kiya, tou aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: beherhaal tera saathi tou imaan ki haalat mein mara, aur rahe tum tou tum ne rukhsat par amal kiya.
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، أَنَّ عُيُونًا لِمُسَيْلِمَةَ أَخَذُوا رَجُلَيْنِ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ فَأَتَوْهُ بِهِمَا ، فَقَالَ لِأَحَدِهِمَا : أَتَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، فَقَالَ : أَتَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، قَالَ : أَتَشْهَدُ أَنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : فَأَهْوَى إِلَى أُذُنَيْهِ فَقَالَ : إِنِّي أَصَمُّ ، قَالَ : مَا لَكَ إِذَا قُلْتُ لَكَ : تَشْهَدُ أَنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ، قُلْتُ إِنِّي أَصَمُّ ، فَأَمَرَ بِهِ فَقُتِلَ ، وَقَالَ لِلْآخَرِ : أَتَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، فَقَالَ : أَتَشَهَّدُ أَنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، فَأَرْسَلَهُ ، فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ : هَلَكْتُ ، قَالَ : « وَمَا شَأْنُكَ ؟» فَأَخْبَرُوهُ بِقِصَّتِهِ وَقِصَّةِ صَاحِبِهِ ، فَقَالَ : « أَمَّا صَاحِبُكَ فَمَضَى عَلَى إِيمَانِهِ ، وَأَمَّا أَنْتَ فَأَخَذْتَ بِالرُّخْصَةِ »
