Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 36627
Said ibn al-Musayyab said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) wrote to Chosroes, Caesar, and the Negus: "In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Peace be upon him who follows the true guidance. I invite you to Islam. Become Muslim and you will be safe. Allah will grant you two rewards. But if you refuse, upon you is the sin of your people.” Said said: So Chosroes tore up the letter and did not look at it. The Prophet of Allah (ﷺ) said: “His kingdom will be torn apart and his people destroyed.” As for the Negus, he believed and so did those who were with him, and he sent a gift of a garment to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Leave him alone as long as he leaves you alone.” As for Caesar, he read the letter of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and said: "This is a letter the likes of which I have not heard since Solomon.” Then he sent for Abu Sufyan and al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah, who were merchants in his land, and he asked them about some of the affairs of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and asked them who followed him. They said: "The women and the weak followed him." He said: "Do you think that those who enter with him recant?" They said: "No." He said: "He is a Prophet. He will certainly rule over what is under my feet. If I were with him, I would wash his feet.”
حضرت سعید بن المسیب فرماتے ہیں : رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے کسریٰ ، قیصر اور نجاشی کو خط لکھا۔ اما بعد ! ” ایک ایسی بات کی طرف آجاؤ جو ہم تم میں مشترک ہے (اور وہ یہ ہے) کہ ہم اللہ کے سوا کسی کی عبادت نہ کریں اور اس کے ساتھ کسی کو شریک نہ ٹھہرائیں اور اللہ کو چھوڑ کر ہم ایک دوسرے کو رب نہ بنائیں “ پھر بھی اگر وہ منہ موڑیں تو کہہ دو ” گواہ رہنا ہم مسلمان ہیں۔ حضرت سعید بن المسیب فرماتے ہیں : کسریٰ نے خط کو پھاڑ دیا اور اس کو دیکھا ہی نہیں۔ نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : وہ خود پھٹ گیا ہے اور اس کی امت بھی پھٹ گئی ہے۔ اور نجاشی نے ایمان قبول کرلیا اور اس کے پاس جو لوگ تھے وہ بھی ایمان لے آئے۔ اور اس نے اللہ کے رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس ایک جوڑا ہدیہ میں بھیجا۔ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : جب تک وہ تمہیں چھوڑے رکھے تم بھی ا ن کو چھوڑ دو ۔ اور قیصر نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کا خط پڑھا اور کہا۔ میں نے سلیمان نبی کے خط کے بعد بسم اللّٰہ الرحمن الرحیم والا خط نہیں سُنا۔ پھر اس نے ابو سفیان اور مغیرہ بن شعبہ کی طرف قاصد بھیجا۔ یہ دونوں ارض قیصر میں تاجر کی حیثیت سے موجود تھے۔ قیصر نے ان سے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے بعض احوال کے متعلق سوال کیا۔ اور ان سے یہ سوال کیا ۔ کون لوگ اس کے تابع دار ہیں ؟ انھوں نے جواب دیا : ان کے پیچھے چلنے والے کمزور لوگ اور عورتیں ہیں۔ پھر اس نے پوچھا : یہ بتاؤ ! جو لوگ اس کے پاس گئے ہیں وہ واپس پلٹے ہیں ؟ انھوں نے جواب دیا۔ نہیں ! قیصرنے کہا ۔ یہ شخص نبی ہے۔ میرے قدموں کے نیچے والے حصہ زمین پر یہ شخص ضرور بالضرور تمکن حاصل کرے گا۔ اگر میں اس کے پاس ہوتا تو میں اس کے قدم چوم لیتا۔
Hazrat Saeed bin Al-Musayyab farmate hain : Rasool Allah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ne Kisra , Qaisar aur Najashi ko khat likha. Ama baad ! ” Ek aisi baat ki taraf aa jao jo hum tum mein mushtareek hai (aur wo yeh hai) keh hum Allah ke siwa kisi ki ibadat na karen aur is ke saath kisi ko sharik na tehrayen aur Allah ko chhod kar hum ek doosre ko Rab na banayen “ phir bhi agar wo munh moden to keh do ” Gawah rehna hum musalman hain. Hazrat Saeed bin Al-Musayyab farmate hain : Kisra ne khat ko phaar diya aur is ko dekha hi nahin. Nabi Kareem (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ne farmaya : Wo khud phat gaya hai aur is ki ummat bhi phat gayi hai. Aur Najashi ne imaan qubool kar liya aur is ke pass jo log thay wo bhi imaan le aaye. Aur is ne Allah ke Rasool (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ke pass ek joda hadiya mein bhi bheja. Rasool Allah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ne farmaya : Jab tak wo tumhen chhode rakhe tum bhi un ko chhod do . Aur Qaisar ne Rasool Allah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ka khat padha aur kaha. Maine Sulaiman Nabi ke khat ke baad Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Rahim wala khat nahin suna. Phir us ne Abu Sufiyan aur Mughirah bin Shuba ki taraf qasid bheja. Ye donon arz Qaisar mein tajir ki haisiyat se mojood thay. Qaisar ne un se Rasool Allah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ke baaz ahwal ke mutalliq sawal kiya. Aur un se ye sawal kiya . Kaun log is ke tabi dar hain ? Unhon ne jawab diya : Un ke peeche chalne wale kamzor log aur aurten hain. Phir us ne poocha : Ye batao ! Jo log is ke pass gaye hain wo wapas palte hain ? Unhon ne jawab diya. Nahin ! Qaisar ne kaha . Ye shakhs Nabi hai. Mere qadmon ke neeche wale hissa zameen par ye shakhs zaroor bilzaror tamkan hasil karega. Agar mein is ke pass hota to mein is ke qadam choom leta.
عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حَرْمَلَةَ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، يَقُولُ : كَتَبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِلَى كِسْرَى وَقَيْصَرَ وَالنَّجَاشِيِّ : أَمَّا بَعْدُ ، « تَعَالَوْا إِلَى كَلِمَةٍ سَوَاءٍ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمْ أَلَّا نَعْبُدَ إِلَّا اللَّهَ ، وَلَا نُشْرِكَ بِهِ شَيْئًا ، وَلَا يَتَّخِذَ بَعْضُنَا بَعْضًا أَرْبَابًا مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ ، فَإِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَقُولُوا اشْهَدُوا بِأَنَّا مُسْلِمُونَ » قَالَ سَعِيدٌ : فَمَزَّقَ كِسْرَى الْكِتَابَ وَلَمْ يَنْظُرْ فِيهِ ، قَالَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ : مُزِّقَ وَمُزِّقَتْ أُمَّتُهُ ، فَأَمَّا النَّجَاشِيُّ فَآمَنَ وَآمَنَ مَنْ كَانَ عِنْدَهُ ، وَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِهَدِيَّةٍ حُلَّةٍ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ : " اتْرُكُوهُ مَا تَرَكَكُمْ ، وَأَمَّا قَيْصَرُ فَقَرَأَ كِتَابَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ : هَذَا كِتَابٌ لَمْ أَسْمَعْ بِهِ بَعْدَ سُلَيْمَانَ النَّبِيِّ : بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ ، ثُمَّ أَرْسَلَ إِلَى أَبِي سُفْيَانَ وَالْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ كَانَا تَاجِرَيْنِ بِأَرْضِهِ ، فَسَأَلَهُمَا عَنْ بَعْضِ شَأْنِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَسَأَلَهُمَا مَنْ تَبِعَهُ ، فَقَالَا : تَبِعَهُ النِّسَاءُ وَضَعَفَةُ النَّاسِ ، فَقَالَ : أَرَأَيْتُمَا الَّذِينَ يَدْخُلُونَ مَعَهُ ، يَرْجِعُونَ ؟ قَالَا : لَا ، قَالَ : هُوَ نَبِيٌّ ، لَيَمْلِكَنَّ مَا تَحْتَ قَدَمِيَّ ، لَوْ كُنْتُ عِنْدَهُ لَقَبَّلْتُ قَدَمَيْهِ "
