Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 36908
Hazrat Akrama narrates that when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) entered Makkah on the day of the conquest, there were pictures of Hazrat Ibrahim and Hazrat Ismail in the Kaaba, and there were arrows in their hands. So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "What is the connection between Ibrahim and arrows? By Allah, Hazrat Ibrahim never tried his luck with arrows." Then you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered a cloth to be brought and it was soaked and the pictures of these gentlemen were erased.
حضرت عکرمہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ جناب نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) فتح مکہ کے دن تشریف لائے۔ بیت اللہ میں حضرت ابراہیم اور حضرت اسماعیل کی تصاویر تھیں۔ اور ان کے ہاتھوں میں تیر تھے۔ تو جناب نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ارشاد فرمایا۔ ابراہیم اور تیروں کا (آپس میں) کیا جوڑ ہے ؟ بخدا ! حضرت ابراہیم نے کبھی تیروں کے ذریعہ قسمت آزمائی نہیں کی۔ پھر آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے کپڑا لانے کا حکم دیا اور اس کو تر کر کے ان حضرات کی تصاویر کو مٹا دیا گیا۔
Hazrat Akarma bayan karte hain ke janab nabi kareem (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) fatah makkah ke din tashreef laye baitullah mein hazrat ibrahim aur hazrat ismaeel ki tasveerein thin aur un ke hathon mein teer thay to janab nabi kareem (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ne irshad farmaya ibrahim aur teeron ka aapas mein kya jor hai ? Khuda ! Hazrat ibrahim ne kabhi teeron ke zariye qismat azmai nahin ki phir aap (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ne kapda laane ka hukum diya aur is ko tar kar ke un hazrat ki tasveeron ko mita diya gaya
سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَدِمَ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ وَصُورَةُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ فِي الْبَيْتِ ، وَفِي أَيْدِيهِمَا الْقِدَاحُ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ : « مَا لِإِبْرَاهِيمَ وَلِلْقِدَاحِ ، وَاللَّهِ مَا اسْتَقْسَمَ بِهَا قَطُّ » ، ثُمَّ أَمَرَ بِثَوْبٍ فَبَلَّ وَمَحَى بِهِ صُوَرَهُمَا "
