Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 37019
It is narrated on the authority of Mughirah ibn Shu'bah that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent me to Najran. They asked me, "You people read 'O brother of Aaron' (Quran 21:48), although there is a long period of time between Moses and Jesus." I did not know the answer to their question, until I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and I asked him this question. So he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Why didn't you tell them that they used to name their children after the names of their former Prophets and righteous people."
حضرت مغیرہ بن شعبہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے مجھے نجران (والوں) کی طرف بھیجا تو انھوں نے مجھ سے پوچھا۔ تم لوگ تو پڑھتے ہو { یَا أُخْتَ ہَارُونَ } حالانکہ حضرت موسیٰ اور حضرت عیسیٰ کے درمیان بہت زیادہ سالوں کا وقفہ ہے ؟ مجھے ان کے اس سوال کا جواب معلوم نہیں تھا۔ یہاں تک کہ میں نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور میں نے آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے یہ سوال کیا تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ارشاد فرمایا : ” تم نے انھیں یہ کیوں نہیں بتایا کہ وہ لوگ اپنے سے پہلے والے انبیاء اور صالحین کے ناموں کے مطابق نام رکھتے تھے “۔ ؟
Hazrat Mugira bin Shaaba se riwayat hai keh Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne mujhe Najran (waalon) ki taraf bheja to unhon ne mujh se poocha. Tum log to parhte ho { Ya Ukhta Haroona } halanke Hazrat Musa aur Hazrat Isa ke darmiyaan bohat zyada saalon ka waqfa hai ? Mujhe un ke iss sawal ka jawab maloom nahi tha. Yahan tak keh main Nabi Kareem (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ki khidmat mein haazir hua aur maine aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) se yeh sawal kiya to aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne irshad farmaya : ” Tum ne unhen yeh kyun nahi bataya keh woh log apne se pehle waale ambiya aur saleheen ke naamon ke mutabiq naam rakhte thay “. ?
ابْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ وَائِلٍ ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ ، قَالَ : بَعَثَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِلَى نَجْرَانَ فَقَالُوا لِي : إِنَّكُمْ تَقْرَءُونَ يَا أُخْتَ هَارُونَ وَبَيْنَ مُوسَى وَعِيسَى مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ مِنَ السِّنِينَ ؟ فَلَمْ أَدْرِ مَا أُجِيبُهُمْ بِهِ ، حَتَّى رَجَعْتُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَسَأَلْتُهُ فَقَالَ : « أَلَّا أَخْبَرْتَهُمْ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يُسَمَّوْنَ بِأَنْبِيَائِهِمْ وَالصَّالِحِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ »
