‌كِتَابُ صَلَاةِ التَّطَوُّعِ وَالْإِمَامَةِ وَأَبْوَابٌ مُتَفَرِّقَةٌ

Regarding His saying: 'Establish the prayer at the decline of the sun' [Quran 17:78]

‌فِي قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: ﴿أَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ لِدُلُوكِ الشَّمْسِ﴾ [

Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 6275

Hazrat Tawoos RA narrated that the meaning of Allah's order {Establish prayer at the decline of the sun} [al-Isra 17:78] by decline of the sun means its setting before the west.

حضرت طاوس فرماتے ہیں کہ فرمانِ باری تعالیٰ { أَقِمِ الصَّلاَۃ لِدُلُوکِ الشَّمْسِ } میں دلوک شمس سے مراد مغرب سے پہلے اس کا جھکنا ہے۔

Hazrat Tawoos farmate hain keh farman e bari ta'ala {aqimis salat liduloki shams} mein duloki shams se murad maghrib se pehle uska jhukna hai

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، ﴿ أَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ لِدُلُوكِ الشَّمْسِ ﴾ [ الإسراء : ٧٨ ] قَالَ : " دُلُوكُهَا : قَبْلَ أَنْ تَغِيبَ "
