Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 8083
It is narrated from Hazrat Muadh bin Jabal, he said that one day we waited a long time for you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to arrive for the Isha prayer, but you were so late that a man said that you would not come. In the meantime, you arrived, so a man said, "O Messenger of Allah! We thought that you had already offered prayer and would not come now." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Pray in the darkness of this night, because you have been given superiority over all the nations because of this prayer, the nations before you did not offer this prayer."
حضرت معاذ بن جبل سے روایت ہے، فرماتے ہیں کہ ہم نے ایک روز عشاء کی نماز کے لیے آپ حضور (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی تشریف آوری کا بہت انتظار کیا، لیکن آپ نے اتنی دیر کردی کہ ایک آدمی کہنے لگا کہ آپ تشریف نہیں لائیں گے۔ اتنے میں آپ تشریف لائے تو ایک آدمی نے کہا کہ یا رسول اللہ ! ہمارا خیال یہ تھا کہ آپ نماز پڑھ چکے ہیں اور اب تشریف نہیں لائیں گے۔ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا کہ اس رات کو اندھیرے میں پڑھا کرو، کیونکہ تمہیں ساری امتوں پر اس نماز کی وجہ سے فضیلت دی گئی ہے، تم سے پہلی امتیں یہ نماز نہیں پڑھتی تھیں۔
Hazrat Muaz bin Jabal se riwayat hai, farmate hain ke hum ne ek roz isha ki namaz ke liye aap huzoor (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ki tashreef aawari ka bohat intezar kiya, lekin aap ne itni dair kar di ke ek aadmi kehne laga ke aap tashreef nahi layenge. Itne mein aap tashreef laaye to ek aadmi ne kaha ke ya Rasulullah! Humara khayal ye tha ke aap namaz parh chuke hain aur ab tashreef nahi layenge. Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya ke iss raat ko andhere mein parha karo, kyunke tumhein saari ummaton par iss namaz ki wajah se fazilat di gayi hai, tum se pehli ummaten ye namaz nahi parhti thin.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ قَالَ : ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، قَالَ : ثنا حَرِيزُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ، عَنْ رَاشِدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ حُمَيْدٍ السَّكُونِيِّ ، وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ مُعَاذٍ ، عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ ، قَالَ : رَقَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي صَلَاةِ الْعِشَاءِ فَخَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا فَقَالَ : « أَعْتِمُوا بِهَذِهِ الصَّلَاةِ فَقَدْ فُضِّلْتُمْ بِهَا عَلَى سَائِرِ الْأُمَمِ ، وَلَمْ يُصَلِّهَا أُمَّةٌ قَبْلَكُمْ »
