Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3645
Jabir bin Samurah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the two shins of the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) were thin, and he would not laugh except as a smile, and whenever I looked at him I would say, he put kohl in his eyes, but he did not use kohl.’ Imam Tirmidhi said, this Hadith is Hasan Sahih Gharib from this route.

جابر بن سمرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ کی دونوں پنڈلیاں مناسب باریکی ۱؎ لیے ہوئے تھیں اور آپ کا ہنسنا صرف مسکرانا تھا، اور جب میں آپ کو دیکھتا تو کہتا کہ آپ آنکھوں میں سرمہ لگائے ہوئے ہیں، حالانکہ آپ سرمہ نہیں لگائے ہوتے۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن غریب صحیح ہے۔
Jibir bin Samrah RA kahte hain ki Rasul Allah SAW ki donon pindliyan munasib bariki liye huwe thin aur ap ka hansna sirf muskurana tha, aur jab main ap ko dekhta to kahta ki ap aankhon mein surma lagaye huwe hain, halanki ap surma nahi lagaye hote. Imam Tirmidhi kahte hain: Yeh hadees hasan gharib sahih hai.
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ الْعَوَّامِ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ هُوَ ابْنُ أَرْطَاةَ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: كَانَ فِي سَاقَيْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حُمُوشَةٌ وَكَانَ لَا يَضْحَكُ إِلَّا تَبَسُّمًا، وَكُنْتُ إِذَا نَظَرْتُ إِلَيْهِ قُلْتُ أَكْحَلُ الْعَيْنَيْنِ وَلَيْسَ بِأَكْحَلَ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: هَذَا حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ صَحِيحٌ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ.
