Ibn Abbas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) reported that when the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) was asked about the offspring of polytheists, he said, Allah knows best about what they would have done.

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم ﷺ سے مشرکین کی اولاد کے بارے میں پوچھا گیا، تو آپ نے فرمایا: اللہ بہتر جانتا ہے کہ وہ زندہ رہتے تو کیا عمل کرتے ۔
Abdul Allah bin Abbas radi Allah anhuma kehte hain ke Nabi akram (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se Mushrikin ki aulad ke bare mein poocha gaya, to Aap ne farmaya: Allah behter jaanta hai ke woh zinda rehte to kia amal karte.
Ummul Momineen Aisha (رضي الله تعالى عنها) narrated that she said, Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) what happens to the offspring of believers? He replied, they are joined to their parents. I asked, Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), although they have done nothing? He replied, Allah knows best what they would have done. She asked, what happens to the offspring of polytheists, Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)? He replied, they are joined to their parents. I asked, although they have done nothing. He replied, Allah knows best what they would have done.

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ میں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! مومنوں کے بچوں کا کیا حال ہو گا؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: وہ اپنے ماں باپ کے حکم میں ہوں گے میں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! بغیر کسی عمل کے؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: اللہ زیادہ بہتر جانتا ہے کہ وہ کیا عمل کرتے میں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! اور مشرکین کے بچے؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: اپنے ماں باپ کے حکم میں ہوں گے میں نے عرض یا بغیر کسی عمل کے؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: اللہ بہتر جانتا ہے کہ وہ کیا عمل کرتے ۔
Am al-Momineen Ayesha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) kehti hain ke main ne arz kiya: Allah ke Rasool! Mominoon ke bachon ka kya hal ho ga? Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: woh apne maa baap ke hukm mein honge main ne arz kiya: Allah ke Rasool! Baghair kisi amal ke? Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Allah ziyada behtar janta hai ke woh kya amal karte main ne arz kiya: Allah ke Rasool! Aur mushrikeen ke bache? Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: apne maa baap ke hukm mein honge main ne arz ya baghair kisi amal ke? Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Allah behtar janta hai ke woh kya amal karte
Ummul Momineen Aisha (رضي الله تعالى عنها) narrated that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) was invited to the funeral of a boy who belonged to the Ansar, and I said, Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), this one is blessed, for he has done no evil, nor has he known it. He replied, it may be otherwise Aishah (رضي الله تعالى عنها), for Allah created Paradise and created those who will go to it, and He created it for them when they were still in their father’s loins; and he created Hell and created those who will go to it and created it for them when they were still in their father’s loins.

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ نبی اکرم ﷺ کے پاس انصار کا ایک بچہ نماز پڑھنے کے لیے لایا گیا، میں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! زندگی کے مزے تو اس بچے کے لیے ہیں، اس نے نہ کوئی گناہ کیا اور نہ ہی وہ اسے ( گناہ کو ) سمجھتا تھا، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: عائشہ! کیا تم ایسا سمجھتی ہو حالانکہ ایسا نہیں ہے؟ اللہ تعالیٰ نے جنت کو پیدا کیا اور اس کے لیے لوگ بھی پیدا کئے اور جنت کو ان لوگوں کے لیے جب بنایا جب وہ اپنے آباء کی پشتوں میں تھے، اور جہنم کو پیدا کیا اور اس کے لیے لوگ بھی پیدا کئے گئے اور جہنم کو ان لوگوں کے لیے پیدا کیا جب کہ وہ اپنے آباء کی پشتوں میں تھے ۔
Umme Mu'mineen Ayesha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) kehti hain ke Nabi e Akram (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pas Ansar ka ek baccha namaz padhne ke liye laya gaya, main ne arz kiya: Allah ke Rasool! Zindagi ke maze to is bache ke liye hain, is ne na koi gunaah kiya aur na hi woh isay ( gunaah ko ) samajhta tha, Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Ayesha! Kya tum aisa samjhti ho halan ki aisa nahin hai? Allah Ta'ala ne Jannat ko peda kiya aur is ke liye log bhi peda kiye aur Jannat ko in logoon ke liye jab banaya jab woh apne aba ki pushtoon mein the, aur Jahannam ko peda kiya aur is ke liye log bhi peda kiye gaye aur Jahannam ko in logoon ke liye peda kiya jab ke woh apne aba ki pushtoon mein the
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, every child is born on Islam, but his parents make him a Jew and a Christian, just as a beast is born whole. Do you find some among them (born) maimed? The people asked, Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), what do you think about the one who died while he was young? He replied, Allah knows best what he was going to do.

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ہر بچہ فطرت ( اسلام ) پر پیدا ہوتا ہے، پھر اس کے والدین اسے یہودی یا نصرانی بنا ڈالتے ہیں، جیسے اونٹ صحیح و سالم جانور سے پیدا ہوتا ہے تو کیا تمہیں اس میں کوئی کنکٹا نظر آتا ہے؟ لوگوں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! آپ کا اس کے بارے میں کیا خیال ہے جو بچپنے میں مر جائے؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: اللہ خوب جانتا ہے کہ وہ کیا عمل کرتے ۔
Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Har baccha fitrat (Islam) par paid a hota hai, phir uske walidain usay yahudi ya nasrani bana dalte hain, jaise unt sahih wa salim janwar se paid a hota hai to kya tumhen us mein koi kunkta nazar aata hai? Logon ne arz kiya: Allah ke Rasool! Aap ka is ke bare mein kya khyal hai jo bachpan mein mar jaye? Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Allah khoob jaanta hai ke woh kya amal karte.
Abu Dawood said, Malik was asked, the heretics argue from this tradition against us. Malik said, argue against them from its last part which goes, ‘the people asked, what do you think about the one who died while he was young? He replied, Allah knows best what he was going to do.

ابن وہب کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے مالک کو کہتے سنا، ان سے پوچھا گیا: اہل بدعت ( قدریہ ) اس حدیث سے ہمارے خلاف استدلال کرتے ہیں؟ مالک نے کہا: تم حدیث کے آخری ٹکڑے سے ان کے خلاف استدلال کرو، اس لیے کہ اس میں ہے: صحابہ نے پوچھا کہ بچپن میں مرنے والے کا کیا حکم ہے؟ تو آپ نے فرمایا: اللہ خوب جانتا ہے کہ وہ کیا عمل کرتے ۔
Ibn Wahb kehte hain ke main ne Malik ko kehte suna, un se poocha gaya: Ahl-e-Bid'at ( Qadriyah) is hadees se hamare khilaf istidlal karte hain? Malik ne kaha: Tum hadees ke aakhiri tukde se un ke khilaf istidlal karo, is liye ke is mein hai: Sahaba ne poocha ke bachpan mein marne wale ka kya hukum hai? To aap ne farmaya: Allah khoob jaanta hai ke woh kya amal karte.
Explaining the tradition ‘every child is a born-on Islam,’ Hammad bin Salamah said, in our opinion it means that covenant which Allah had taken in the loins of their fathers when He said – [And (mention) when your Lord took from the children of Adam, from their loins, their descendants and made them testify of themselves, 'Am I not your Lord?' They said, 'Yes, we have testified.' (Al-A’raaf - 172).

حجاج بن منہال کہتے کہ میں نے حماد بن سلمہ کو «كل مولود يولد على الفطرة» ہر بچہ فطرت ( اسلام ) پر پیدا ہوتا ہے ۱؎ کی تفسیر کرتے سنا، آپ نے کہا: ہمارے نزدیک اس سے مراد وہ عہد ہے جو اللہ نے ان سے اسی وقت لے لیا تھا، جب وہ اپنے آباء کی پشتوں میں تھے، اللہ نے ان سے پوچھا تھا: «ألست بربكم قالوا بلى» کیا میں تمہارا رب ( معبود ) نہیں ہوں؟ تو انہوں نے کہا تھا: کیوں نہیں، ضرور ہیں۔
Hujjaj bin Manhal kehte hain ke main ne Hamad bin Salma ko «Kul Maulood Yaulad ala al-Fitra» har baccha fitrat (Islam) par paida hota hai 1؎ ki tafseer karte suna, aap ne kaha: Hamare nazdeek is se mraad woh ahed hai jo Allah ne un se usi waqt le liya tha, jab woh apne aba ki pushtoon mein the, Allah ne un se poocha tha: «Al-asta birabbikum Qalaoo Baly» kya main tumhara Rab (ma'bud) nahin hoon? to unhon ne kaha tha: kyon nahin, zarur hain.
Amir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, the woman who buries alive her new-born girl and the girl who is buried alive both will go to Hell. This tradition has also been transmitted by Ibn Mas’ud (رضي الله تعالى عنه) from the Prophet ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) to the same effect through a different chain of narrators.

عامر شعبی کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: «وائدہ» ( زندہ درگور کرنے والی ) اور «مؤودہ» ( زندہ درگور کی گئی دونوں ) جہنم میں ہیں ۔ یحییٰ بن زکریا کہتے ہیں: میرے والد نے کہا: مجھ سے ابواسحاق نے بیان کیا ہے کہ عامر شعبی نے ان سے اسے بیان کیا ہے، وہ علقمہ سے اور علقمہ، ابن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ سے اور ابن مسعود نبی اکرم ﷺ سے روایت کرتے ہیں۔
Aamir Shuaibi kehte hain ke Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: «Waida» (zinda dar gor karne wali) aur «Mauoodah» (zinda dar gor ki gayi dono) Jahannam mein hain 1؎. Yahiya bin Zakaria kehte hain: mere wald ne kaha: mujh se Abu Ishaq ne bayan kiya hai ke Aamir Shuaibi ne un se ise bayan kiya hai, woh Alqamah se aur Alqamah, Ibn Masood (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se aur Ibn Masood Nabi Akram (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se riwayat karte hain.
Anas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that a man asked, where is my father, Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)? He replied, your father is in Hell. When he turned his back, he said, My father and your father are in Hell.

انس رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک شخص نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! میرے والد کہاں ہیں؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: تمہارے والد جہنم میں ہیں جب وہ پیٹھ پھیر کر چلا تو آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: میرے والد اور تیرے والد دونوں جہنم میں ہیں ۔
Anas Razi allahu anhu kehte hain ke ek shakhs ne arz kiya: Allah ke rasool! Mere wald kahan hain? Aap salla allahu alaihi wa sallam ne farmaya: Tumhare wald jahannam mein hain. Jab woh peeth phir kar chala to aap salla allahu alaihi wa sallam ne farmaya: Mere wald aur tere wald dono jahannam mein hain.
Anas bin Malik (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, the Satan flows in a man like his blood.

انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: شیطان ابن آدم ( انسان ) کے بدن میں اسی طرح دوڑتا ہے جس طرح خون رگوں میں گردش کرتا ہے ۔
Insa bin Malik (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Shaitan ibn Adam ( insan ) ke badan mein usi tarah dourta hai jis tarah khoon ragon mein gardish karta hai.
Umar b. al-Khattab ( رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, ‘do not sit with those who believe in free will and do not address them before they address you.

عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: منکرین تقدیر کے پاس نہ بیٹھو اور نہ ہی ان سے بات چیت میں پہل کرو ۱؎ ۔
