Sunan Abi Dawud 1244
Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) led us in prayer in the time of danger. They (the people) stood in two rows. One row was behind the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and the other faced the enemy. The Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) led them in one rak'a and then the other section came and took their place, and then they went and faced the enemy. The Prophet ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) led them in one rak'a and uttered the salutation. They stood up and prayed the second rak'a by themselves and uttered the salutation and went away. Then they took the place of the other section facing the enemy. They came back and took their place. They prayed one rak'a by themselves and then uttered the salutation.

عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ ہمیں رسول اللہ ﷺ نے نماز خوف پڑھائی تو ایک صف رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پیچھے اور دوسری صف دشمن کے مقابل کھڑی ہوئی، آپ نے ان کو ایک رکعت پڑھائی پھر دوسری جماعت آئی اور ان کی جگہ کھڑی ہوئی اور یہ جماعت دشمن کے سامنے چلی گئی، اب نبی اکرم ﷺ نے ان کو ایک رکعت پڑھائی، پھر سلام پھیر دیا، پھر یہ جماعت کھڑی ہوئی، اس نے دوسری رکعت ادا کر کے سلام پھیرا اور جا کر ان کی جگہ کھڑی ہو گئی، جو دشمن کے سامنے تھے، اب وہ لوگ ان کی جگہ آ گئے اور انہوں نے اپنی دوسری رکعت ادا کی پھر سلام پھیرا۔
AbdulalLaah bin Mas'ood (رضي الله تعالى عنه)u kehte hain ke hamen Rasool-ul-Llah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne namaz khouf padhai to ek saf Rasool-ul-Llah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pichhe aur dusri saf dushman ke muqabil khadi hui, aap ne un ko ek rakat padhai phir dusri jamaat aai aur un ki jagah khadi hui aur yeh jamaat dushman ke samne chali gai, ab Nabi-e-Akram (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne un ko ek rakat padhai, phir salam phir diya, phir yeh jamaat khadi hui, is ne dusri rakat ada kar ke salam phir diya aur ja kar un ki jagah khadi ho gai, jo dushman ke samne the, ab woh log un ki jagah aa gaye aur unhon ne apni dusri rakat ada ki phir salam phir diya.
حَدَّثَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مَيْسَرَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا خُصَيْفٌ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ: صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةَ الْخَوْفِ، فَقَامُوا صَفَّيْنِ صَفٌّ خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَصَفٌّ مُسْتَقْبِلَ الْعَدُوِّ، فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَكْعَةً، ثُمَّ جَاءَ الْآخَرُونَ فَقَامُوا مَقَامَهُمْ وَاسْتَقْبَلَ هَؤُلَاءِ الْعَدُوَّ، فَصَلَّى بِهِمُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَكْعَةً، ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ فَقَامَ هَؤُلَاءِ فَصَلَّوْا لِأَنْفُسِهِمْ رَكْعَةً، ثُمَّ سَلَّمُوا، ثُمَّ ذَهَبُوا فَقَامُوا مَقَامَ أُولَئِكَ مُسْتَقْبِلِي الْعَدُوِّ وَرَجَعَ أُولَئِكَ إِلَى مَقَامِهِمْ فَصَلَّوْا لِأَنْفُسِهِمْ رَكْعَةً، ثُمَّ سَلَّمُوا .
