Chapter: Regarding narrations about Al-Jassasah

باب فِي خَبَرِ الْجَسَّاسَةِ
Sunan Abi Dawud 4325
Fatimah bint Qays (رضي الله تعالى عنها) narrated that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) once delayed the congregational night prayer. He came out and said, the talk of Tamim Ad-Dari detained me. He transmitted it to me from man who was on one of the Islands of the sea. Suddenly, he found a woman who was trailing her hair. He asked, who are you? She said, I am the Jassasah. Go to that castle. So, I came to it and found a man who was trailing his hair, chained in iron collars, and leaping between Heaven and Earth. I asked, who are you? He replied, I am the Dajjal (Antichrist). Has the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) of the unlettered people come forth now? I replied, yes. He said, have they obeyed him or disobeyed him? I said, no, they have obeyed him. He said: That is better for them.

فاطمہ بنت قیس رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ایک رات عشاء پڑھنے میں دیر کی، پھر نکلے تو فرمایا: مجھے ایک بات نے روک لیا، جسے تمیم داری ایک آدمی کے متعلق بیان کر رہے تھے، تو میں سمندر کے جزیروں میں سے ایک جزیرے میں تھا، تمیم کہتے ہیں کہ ناگاہ میں نے ایک عورت کو دیکھا جو اپنے بال کھینچ رہی ہے، تو میں نے پوچھا: تم کون ہو؟ وہ بولی: میں جساسہ۱؎ ہوں، تم اس محل کی طرف جاؤ، تو میں اس محل میں آیا، تو کیا دیکھتا ہوں کہ اس میں ایک شخص ہے جو اپنے بال کھینچ رہا ہے، وہ بیڑیوں میں جکڑا ہوا ہے، اور آسمان و زمین کے درمیان میں اچھلتا ہے، میں نے اس سے پوچھا: تم کون ہو؟ تو اس نے کہا: میں دجال ہوں، کیا امیوں کے نبی کا ظہور ہو گیا؟ میں نے کہا: ہاں ( وہ ظاہر ہو چکے ہیں ) اس نے پوچھا: لوگوں نے ان کی اطاعت کی ہے یا نافرمانی؟ میں نے کہا: نہیں، بلکہ لوگوں نے ان کی اطاعت کی ہے، تو اس نے کہا: یہ بہتر ہے ان کے لیے ۔
Fatima bint Qais ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) se riwayat hai ke Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne aik raat Isha padhne mein der ki, phir nikle to farmaya: mujhe ek baat ne rok liya, jise Tamim Dari aik aadmi ke mutaaliq bayan kar rahe the, to main samandar ke jaziron mein se ek jazire mein tha, Tamim kahte hain ke nagah maine ek aurat ko dekha jo apne baal khinch rahi hai, to maine poocha: tum kon ho? wo boli: main Jassasa1 hon, tum is mahal ki taraf jao, to main is mahal mein aya, to kya dekhta hun ke is mein ek shakhs hai jo apne baal khinch raha hai, wo beediyon mein jakra hua hai, aur aasman o zamin ke darmiyan mein uchhalta hai, maine us se poocha: tum kon ho? to us ne kaha: main Dajjal hun, kya amiyon ke Nabi ka zuhoor ho gaya? maine kaha: han (wo zahir ho chuke hain) us ne poocha: logon ne un ki itat ki hai ya nafarmani? maine kaha: nahi, balke logon ne un ki itat ki hai, to us ne kaha: yeh behtar hai un ke liye.
حَدَّثَنَا النُّفَيْلِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ قَيْسٍ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَخَّرَ الْعِشَاءَ الْآخِرَةَ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ فَقَالَ: إِنَّهُ حَبَسَنِي، حَدِيثٌ كَانَ يُحَدِّثُنِيهِ تَمِيمٌ الدَّارِيُّ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ كَانَ فِي جَزِيرَةٍ مِنْ جَزَائِرِ الْبَحْرِ فَإِذَا أَنَا بِامْرَأَةٍ تَجُرُّ شَعْرَهَا، قَالَ: مَا أَنْتِ ؟ قَالَتْ: أَنَا الْجَسَّاسَةُ اذْهَبْ إِلَى ذَلِكَ الْقَصْرِ، فَأَتَيْتُهُ فَإِذَا رَجُلٌ يَجُرُّ شَعْرَهُ مُسَلْسَلٌ فِي الْأَغْلَالِ يَنْزُو فِيمَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ، فَقُلْتُ: مَنْ أَنْتَ ؟ قَالَ: أَنَا الدَّجَّالُ خَرَجَ نَبِيُّ الْأُمِّيِّينَ بَعْدُ، قُلْتُ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: أَطَاعُوهُ أَمْ عَصَوْهُ ؟ قُلْتُ: بَلْ أَطَاعُوهُ، قَالَ: ذَاكَ خَيْرٌ لَهُمْ .
