The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 1841
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), while riding his camel, performed Tawaf (circumambulation of the Ka'aba) and kissed the Black Stone with his staff. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to the well and said, "Give me water to drink." The people said, "People crowd around this well, we will bring you water from the House of Allah (Ka'aba)." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "There is no need for that. Give me water from the same place where the common people drink."

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ نے اپنے اونٹ پر سوار ہو کر طواف فرمایا اور حجر اسود کا استلام اس چھڑی سے کیا جو آپ ﷺ کے پاس تھی، پھر آپ ﷺ کنوئیں پر تشریف لائے اور فرمایا: ”مجھے پانی پلاؤ“، لوگوں نے کہا کہ اس کنوئیں میں تو لوگ گھستے ہیں، ہم آپ کے لئے بیت اللہ سے پانی لے کر آتے ہیں، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”اس کی کوئی ضرورت نہیں، مجھے اسی جگہ سے پانی پلاؤ جہاں سے عام لوگ پیتے ہیں۔“
Saina Ibne Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ke ek martaba Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne apne unt par sawar ho kar tawaaf farmaya aur Hajar Aswad ka istilaam us chari se kiya jo aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pass thi, phir aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) kuen par tashreef laaye aur farmaya: “Mujhe pani pilao”, logon ne kaha ke is kuen mein to log ghiste hain, hum aap ke liye Baitullah se pani le kar aate hain, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: “Is ki koi zarurat nahi, mujhe isi jagah se pani pilao jahan se aam log pite hain.”
حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ , أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ طَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ وَهُوَ عَلَى بَعِيرِهِ، وَاسْتَلَمَ الْحَجَرَ بِمِحْجَنٍ كَانَ مَعَهُ، قَالَ: وَأَتَى السِّقَايَةَ، فَقَالَ:" اسْقُونِي"، فَقَالُوا: إِنَّ هَذَا يَخُوضُهُ النَّاسُ، وَلَكِنَّا نَأْتِيكَ بِهِ مِنَ الْبَيْتِ، فَقَالَ:" لَا حَاجَةَ لِي فِيهِ، اسْقُونِي مِمَّا يَشْرَبُ مِنْهُ النَّاسُ".
