Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 19371
It is narrated on the authority of Adi bin Hatim Tai Radi Allahu Anhu that I asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about the game that dies from the breadth of an arrow. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The game that you have killed with the point of an arrow, you can eat it, but the game that you have killed with the breadth of an arrow is like the game that has died from a blow, so do not eat it.

حضرت عدی بن حاتم طائی رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ سے اس شکار کے متعلق پوچھا جو تیر کی چوڑائی سے مرجائے تو نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا جس شکار کو تم نے تیر کی دھار سے ماراہو تو اسے کھاسکتے ہو لیکن جسے تیر کی چوڑائی سے ماراہو وہ موقوذہ (چوٹ سے مرنے والے جانور) کے حکم میں ہے اس لئے اسے مت کھاؤ۔
Hazrat Adi bin Hatim Taee (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai maine Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se is shikaar ke mutalliq poocha jo teer ki chori se mar jaye to Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya jis shikaar ko tumne teer ki dhaar se mara ho to use kha sakte ho lekin jise teer ki chori se mara ho wo moquzah (chot se marne wale janwar) ke hukum mein hai is liye use mat khao.
حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُجَالِدٌ ، وَزَكَرِيَّا ، وَغَيْرُهُمَا، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ صَيْدِ الْمِعْرَاضِ، فَقَالَ: " مَا أَصَابَ بِحَدِّهِ، فَخَزَقَ، فَكُلْ، وَمَا أَصَابَ بِعَرْضِهِ، فَقَتَلَ، فَإِنَّهُ وَقِيذٌ، فَلَا تَأْكُلْ" .
