Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 20156
It is narrated on the authority of Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whatever a hand takes (from another) remains a liability upon it until it is returned (to the giver).

حضرت سمرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا ہے ایک ہاتھ (دوسرے سے) جو چیز لیتا ہے وہ اس کے ذمے رہتی ہے یہاں تک کہ (دینے والے کو) واپس ادا کردے۔
Hazrat Samra Radi Allaho Anho Se Marvi Hai Ke Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam Ne Farmaya Hai Ek Hath Dusre Se Jo Cheez Leta Hai Wo Uske Zimme Rehti Hai Yahan Tak Ke Dene Wale Ko Wapas Ada Karde
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " عَلَى الْيَدِ مَا أَخَذَتْ حَتَّى تُؤَدِّيَهُ" , ثُمَّ نَسِيَ الْحَسَنُ قَالَ: لَا يَضْمَنُ.
