The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2207
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to us. At that time, Sayyidina Usamah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) was riding behind him. We offered him the same ordinary water to drink. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "You have done well, and continue to do the same in the future."

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ ہمارے پاس ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ تشریف لائے، اس وقت سیدنا اسامہ بن زید رضی اللہ عنہ نبی ﷺ کے پیچھے سوار تھے، ہم نے انہیں یہی عام پانی پینے کے لئے پیش کیا، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”تم نے اچھا کیا اور آئندہ بھی اسی طرح کیا کرو۔“
Syedna Ibn Abbas raziallahu anhuma se marvi hai keh humare pas ek martaba Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) tashreef laye, us waqt Syedna Osama bin Zaid raziallahu anhu Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke peeche sawar thay, hum ne unhen yahi aam pani pine ke liye pesh kiya, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Tum ne achcha kiya aur aayinda bhi isi tarah kiya karo."
حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ: جَاءَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَرَدِيفُهُ أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، فَسَقَيْنَاهُ مِنْ هَذَا الشَّرَابِ، فَقَالَ:" أَحْسَنْتُمْ هَكَذَا فَاصْنَعُوا".
