The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2656
Akarmah (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates, "Once I mentioned to Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), 'Today I prayed Zuhr prayer in the valley of Bat'ha behind a foolish Sheikh. He recited Takbir twenty-two times in one prayer.' Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) replied, 'May your mother cry for you! This is the Sunnah of Abu al-Qasim (Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him).'"

عکرمہ رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ میں نے سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے عرض کیا کہ آج ظہر کی نماز وادی بطحا میں میں نے ایک احمق شیخ کے پیچھے پڑھی ہے، اس نے ایک نماز میں بائیس مرتبہ تکبیر کہی، سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے فرمایا کہ تیری ماں تجھے روئے، یہ تو ابوالقاسم ﷺ کی سنت ہے۔
Ukrama Rahmatullah Alaih kahtay hain kay aik martaba maine Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se arz kiya kay aaj Zuhr ki namaz Wadi Batha mein maine aik ahmaq sheikh kay peechay parhi hai, uss nay aik namaz mein baais martaba takbeer kahi, Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ne farmaya kay teri maan tujhay roye, yeh tou Abu'l-Qasim (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki sunnat hai.
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، قَالَ: صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ شَيْخٍ بِمَكَّةَ، فَكَبَّرَ فِي صَلَاةِ الظُّهْرِ ثِنْتَيْنِ وَعِشْرِينَ تَكْبِيرَةً، فَأَتَيْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ ، فَقُلْتُ: إِنِّي صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ شَيْخٍ أَحْمَقَ، فَكَبَّرَ فِي صَلَاةِ الظُّهْرِ ثِنْتَيْنِ وَعِشْرِينَ تَكْبِيرَةً , قَالَ:" ثَكِلَتْكَ أُمُّكَ، تِلْكَ سُنَّةُ أَبِي الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ".
