ومن مسند بني هاشم
The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2925
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to take good omens, did not harbor ill thoughts, and liked good names.

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ اچھی فال لیتے تھے، بدگمانی نہیں کرتے تھے اور آپ ﷺ کو اچھا نام پسند آتا تھا۔
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ke Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) achhi fal lete the, badgumani nahin karte the aur aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko achha naam pasand aata tha.
حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ يَعْنِي شَيْبَانَ عَنْ لَيْثٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ:" كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَفَاءَلُ وَلَا يَتَطَيَّرُ، وَيُعْجِبُهُ كُلُّ اسْمٍ حَسَنٍ".
