The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2943

It is narrated from our leader Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with both of them, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "There is no one among the children of Adam, except for John (Yahya), peace be upon him, who has not committed a mistake, meaning a sin, or intended to commit a sin."

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: حضرت یحییٰ علیہ السلام کے علاوہ اولاد آدم میں سے کوئی ایسا نہیں ہے جس نے کوئی غلطی یعنی گناہ نہ کیا ہو یا گناہ کا ارادہ نہ کیا ہو۔

Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: Hazrat Yahya Alaihissalam ke ilawa aulad Adam mein se koi aisa nahi hai jis ne koi ghalti yani gunah na kiya ho ya gunah ka irada na kiya ho.

حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: قَالَ:" مَا أَحَدٌ مِنَ النَّاسِ إِلَّا وَقَدْ أَخْطَأَ، أَوْ هَمَّ بِخَطِيئَةٍ لَيْسَ يَحْيَى بْنَ زَكَرِيَّا".
