The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 3517
It is narrated by Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was commissioned (as a prophet) at the age of forty. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stayed in Makkah Mukarramah for thirteen years. Then when the command of migration came, he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) spent ten years in Madinah Munawwarah, and he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) passed away at the age of sixty-three.

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ چالیس سال کی عمر میں مبعوث ہوئے، تیرہ سال آپ ﷺ مکہ مکرمہ میں رہے، پھر ہجرت کا حکم ملا تو دس سال مدینہ منورہ میں گزارے اور ترسٹھ برس کی عمر میں آپ کا وصال ہو گیا۔
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) chalis saal ki umar mein mabus hue, terah saal aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) Makkah Mukarramah mein rahe, phir hijrat ka hukm mila to das saal Madina Munawwarah mein guzare aur tirsath bars ki umar mein aap ka wisal ho gaya.
حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ:" بُعِثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِأَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً، فَمَكَثَ بِمَكَّةَ ثَلَاثَ عَشْرَةَ سَنَةً يُوحَى إِلَيْهِ، ثُمَّ أُمِرَ بِالْهِجْرَةِ، فَهَاجَرَ عَشْرَ سِنِينَ، فَمَاتَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَلَاثٍ وَسِتِّينَ، صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ".
