The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 3527
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to the well of Zamzam. We drew a bucket of water and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) drank from it and rinsed his mouth with it. Then we put that bucket back into the well of Zamzam (so that the Prophet’s leftover water also mixed with it). And the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "If I did not fear that you would be overcome, I would have drawn the bucket with my own hand."

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ چاہ زمزم پر تشریف لائے، ہم نے ایک ڈول کھینچ کر پانی نکالا، نبی ﷺ نے اسے نوش فرمایا اور اس ڈول میں کلی کر دی، پھر ہم نے وہ ڈول چاہ زمزم میں ڈال دیا (یوں نبی ﷺ کا پس خوردہ بھی اس میں شامل ہو گیا) اور نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”اگر تمہارے مغلوب ہونے کا اندیشہ نہ ہوتا تو میں اپنے ہاتھ سے ڈول کھینچتا۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas (رضي الله تعالى عنه)uma se marvi hai ki ek martaba Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) chah Zamzam par tashreef laye, hum ne ek dol khench kar pani nikala, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne use nosh farmaya aur is dol mein kuli kar di, phir hum ne woh dol chah Zamzam mein daal diya (yun Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ka pas khurda bhi is mein shamil ho gaya) aur Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Agar tumhare maghloob hone ka andesha na hota to mein apne hath se dol khenchta."
حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ وَعَفَّانُ ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ قَيْسٍ . قَالَ عَفَّانُ : أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا قَيْسٌ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: جَاءَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى زَمْزَمَ، فَنَزَعْنَا لَهُ دَلْوًا، فَشَرِبَ ثُمَّ مَجَّ فِيهَا، ثُمَّ أَفْرَغْنَاهَا فِي زَمْزَمَ، ثُمَّ قَالَ:" لَوْلَا أَنْ تُغْلَبُوا عَلَيْهَا، لَنَزَعْتُ بِيَدَيَّ".
