Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 4534
Matalib bin Abdullah said that Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, used to wash the limbs of Wudu three times and he attributed this practice to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.

مطلب بن عبداللہ کہتے کہ عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما اعضاء وضو کو تین تین مرتبہ دھوتے تھے اور اس کی نسبت نبی کریم ﷺ کی طرف کرتے تھے۔

حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنِي الْمُطَّلِبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حَنْطَبٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ" يَتَوَضَّأُ ثَلَاثًا ثَلَاثًا، وَيُسْنِدُ ذَلِكَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ".
