Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 4797
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that in the blessed era of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), we used to say that the best of people is the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), then Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), then Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). And Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) received three virtues, and each of these virtues is dearer to me than red camels. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) married his daughter to him, and he had children from her. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered all the doors of Masjid Nabawi (Prophet’s Mosque) to be closed except his door, and on the day of the Battle of Khyber, he granted him the standard (of leadership).

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ ہم لوگ نبی کریم ﷺ کے دور سعادت میں یہ کہا کرتے تھے کہ لوگوں میں سب سے بہتر نبی ﷺ ہیں، پھر سیدنا ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ، پھر سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ اور سیدنا علی رضی اللہ عنہ کو تین فضیلتیں ملی ہیں اور ان میں سے ہر ایک فضیلت ایسی ہے جو مجھے سرخ اونٹوں سے زیادہ محبوب ہے، نبی کریم ﷺ نے ان سے اپنی صاحبزادی کا نکاح کیا اور ان سے ان کے یہاں اولاد ہوئی، نبی کریم ﷺ نے مسجد نبوی کے تمام دروازے بند کروا دئیے سوائے ان کے دروازے کے اور غزوہ خیبر کے دن انہیں جھنڈا عطاء فرمایا۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki hum log Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke daur saadat mein yeh kaha karte thay ki logon mein sab se behtar Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) hain, phir Sayyidna Abu Bakr (رضي الله تعالى عنه) , phir Sayyidna Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) aur Sayyidna Ali (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ko teen faziltain mili hain aur in mein se har ek fazilat aisi hai jo mujhe surkh oonton se ziada mahboob hai, Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne in se apni sahibzadi ka nikah kiya aur in se in ke yahan aulad hui, Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Masjid Nabawi ke tamam darwaze band karwa diye siwaye in ke darwaze ke aur Ghazwa Khyber ke din inhen jhanda ataa farmaya.
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَسِيدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ:" كُنَّا نَقُولُ فِي زَمَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: رَسُولُ اللَّهِ خَيْرُ النَّاسِ، ثُمَّ أَبُو بَكْرٍ، ثُمَّ عُمَرُ".
