Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5229
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that once Sayyidina Umar Farooq (may Allah be pleased with him) sought permission from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to go for Umrah. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave him permission, saying, "Brother! Don't forget to remember us in your noble prayers." Sayyidina Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said that if I were to be given everything upon which the sun rises, meaning the whole world, in exchange for this one word, "Ya Akhi" (O Brother), I would not prefer the whole world over this one word.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ سیدنا عمر فاروق رضی اللہ عنہ نے ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ سے عمرہ پر جانے کے لئے اجازت مانگی، نبی ﷺ نے انہیں اجازت دیتے ہوئے فرمایا: ”بھائی! ہمیں اپنی نیک دعاؤں میں یاد رکھنا بھول نہ جانا۔“ سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ اگر اس ایک لفظ «يا اخي» کے بدلے مجھے وہ سب کچھ دے دیا جائے جن پر سورج طلوع ہوتا ہے یعنی پوری دنیا تو میں اس ایک لفظ کے بدلے پوری دنیا کو پسند نہیں کروں گا۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Sayyidna Umar Farooq (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne ek martaba Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se Umrah par jaane ke liye ijazat maangi, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne unhen ijazat dete huye farmaya: “Bhai! humein apni nek duaon mein yaad rakhna bhul na jaana.” Sayyidna Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) farmate hain ki agar is ek lafz «Ya Akhi» ke badle mujhe wo sab kuchh de diya jaye jin par suraj talu hota hai yani puri duniya to main is ek lafz ke badle puri duniya ko pasand nahin karunga.
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، وَعَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ اسْتَأْذَنَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْعُمْرَةِ، فَأَذِنَ لَهُ، فَقَالَ: يَا أَخِي،" أَشْرِكْنَا فِي صَالِحِ دُعَائِكَ، وَلَا تَنْسَنَا"، قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ فِي حَدِيثِهِ: فَقَالَ عُمَرُ: مَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ لِي بِهَا مَا طَلَعَتْ عَلَيْهِ الشَّمْسُ.
