Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5360
Abdullah bin Abi Al-Maki (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "Once I prayed alongside Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). After the prayer, he patted my thigh and said, 'Shall I not teach you the Tashahhud (supplication after prayer) as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) taught us?' Then he recited before me the words of the Tashahhud narrated from Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him)."

عبداللہ بن بابی المکی رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ میں نے سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کے پہلو میں نماز پڑھی، نماز سے فارغ ہو کر انہوں نے میری ران پر ہاتھ مارا اور فرمایا: کیا میں تمہیں تحیۃ الصلوٰۃ نہ سکھاؤں جیسے نبی ﷺ ہمیں سکھاتے تھے؟ یہ کہہ کر انہوں نے میرے سامنے تشہد کے وہ کلمات پڑھے جو سیدنا ابو موسیٰ اشعری رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہیں۔
Abdullah bin Baabi al-Makki rehmatullah alaih kehte hain ki ek martaba maine Sayyiduna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ke pahlu mein namaz parhi, namaz se farigh ho kar unhon ne meri ran par hath mara aur farmaya: kya main tumhen tahiyyatul-salat na sikhaun jaise Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) hamen sikhaate the? Yeh keh kar unhon ne mere samne tashhud ke woh kalimat parhe jo Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hain.
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَابَيْ الْمَكِّيُّ ، قَالَ: صَلَّيْتُ إِلَى جَنْبِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ: فَلَمَّا قَضَى الصَّلَاةَ ضَرَبَ بِيَدِهِ عَلَى فَخِذِهِ، فَقَالَ:" أَلَا أُعَلِّمُكَ تَحِيَّةَ الصَّلَاةِ كَمَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُعَلِّمُنَا؟" فَتَلَا عَلَيَّ هَؤُلَاءِ الْكَلِمَاتِ، يَعْنِي: قَوْلَ أَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ فِي التَّشَهُّدِ.
