Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5543
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered the hand of a person to be cut off for stealing a shield worth three dirhams.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے ایک شخص کا ہاتھ ایک ڈھال (جس کی قیمت تین درہم تھی) چوری کرنے کی وجہ سے کاٹ دیا تھا۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ek shakhs ka hath ek dhal (jis ki qeemat teen dirham thi) chori karne ki wajah se kaat diya tha.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" قَطَعَ فِي مِجَنٍّ ثَمَنُهُ ثَلَاثَةُ دَرَاهِمَ".
