Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5664
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever wears the garment of fame in this world, Allah will clothe him in the garment of humiliation on the Day of Judgement.”

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”جو شخص دنیا میں شہرت کا لباس پہنتا ہے، اللہ اسے قیامت کے دن ذلت کا لباس پہنائے گا۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: "Jo shakhs duniya mein shohrat ka libas pehenta hai, Allah use qayamat ke din zillat ka libas pehnaye ga."
حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمُغِيرَةِ وَهُوَ الْأَعْشَى ، عَنْ مُهَاجِرٍ الشَّامِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" مَنْ لَبِسَ ثَوْبَ شُهْرَةٍ فِي الدُّنْيَا، أَلْبَسَهُ اللَّهُ ثَوْبَ مَذَلَّةٍ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ".
