Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5714
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave him a silk garment. It began to hang below his ankles, so the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) spoke harshly about it and mentioned Hellfire.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے انہیں ایک ریشمی جوڑا دیا، وہ ان کے ٹخنوں سے نیچے لٹکنے لگا تو نبی ﷺ نے اس پر سخت بات کہی اور جہنم کا ذکر کیا۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne unhen ek reshmi joda diya, woh unke takhnon se neeche latkne laga to Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne us par sakht baat kahi aur jahannum ka zikar kiya.
حَدَّثَنَا مُهَنَّى بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ أَبُو شِبْلٍ , عَنْ حَمَّادٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ , أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" كَسَاهُ حُلَّةً فَأَسْبَلَهَا، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِيهِ قَوْلًا شَدِيدًا، وَذَكَرَ النَّارَ".
