Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 6097
It is narrated by Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) delayed the Isha prayer so long that we fell asleep and woke up three times in the mosque. In fact, a delegation had come to see the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came out and said: At this time, there is no one on the face of the earth waiting for prayer except you.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ نے عشاء کی نماز کو اتنا مؤخر کر دیا کہ ہم لوگ مسجد میں تین مرتبہ سو کر جاگے دراصل نبی ﷺ کے پاس ایک وفد آیا ہوا تھا؟ اس کے بعد نبی ﷺ باہر تشریف لائے اور فرمایا: کہ اس وقت روئے زمین پر تمہارے علاوہ کوئی شخص نماز کا انتظار نہیں کر رہا۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki aik martaba Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Isha ki namaz ko itna moakhir kar diya ki hum log masjid mein teen martaba so kar jage Darasal Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pass ek wafad aaya hua tha? Is ke baad Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) bahar tashreef laye aur farmaya: ki is waqt rue zameen par tumhare alawa koi shakhs namaz ka intezar nahin kar raha.
حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ ، حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحٌ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أَخَّرَ لَيْلَةً الْعِشَاءَ حَتَّى رَقَدْنَا، ثُمَّ اسْتَيْقَظْنَا، ثُمَّ رَقَدْنَا، ثُمَّ اسْتَيْقَظْنَا، وَإِنَّمَا حَبَسَنَا لِوَفْدٍ جَاءَهُ، ثُمَّ خَرَجَ، فَقَالَ:" لَيْسَ أَحَدٌ يَنْتَظِرُ الصَّلَاةَ غَيْرُكُمْ".
