Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 94
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): “If any of us becomes impure and wants to sleep before taking a bath, what should he do?” The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “He should perform ablution like that for prayer and then sleep.”

سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ میں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ سے پوچھا: اگر ہم میں سے کوئی شخص ناپاک ہو جائے اور وہ غسل کرنے سے پہلے سونا چاہے تو کیا کرے؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”نماز والا وضو کر کے سو جائے۔“
Sayyidna Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki ek martaba maine Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se poocha: Agar hum mein se koi shakhs napaak ho jaye aur wo ghusl karne se pehle sona chahe to kya kare? Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: ”Namaz wala wuzu kar ke so jaye“.
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: كَيْفَ يَصْنَعُ أَحَدُنَا إِذَا هُوَ أَجْنَبَ، ثُمَّ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَغْتَسِلَ؟ قَالَ: فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" لِيَتَوَضَّأْ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ، ثُمَّ لِيَنَمْ".
