باب ما ورد في الاستنجاء بالتراب
Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 537
Thawban narrated that it is Sunnah (recommended practice) to clean oneself with three stones or three pieces of wood. I (the narrator) asked, "What if one cannot find them?" He replied, "I haven't come across that." Then he added, "Three handfuls of water." This narration from Thawban is considered authentic.

(٥٣٧) طاؤس سے روایت ہے کہ تین پتھروں سے یا تین لکڑیوں سے استنجاء کرنا (مسنون) ہے، میں نے کہا : اگر نہ ملیں تو ؟ انھوں نے کہا : میں اس کو نہیں پایا، پھر کہتے ہیں : تین چلو پانی کے۔ طاؤس سے یہی صحیح ثابت ہے۔

Muslim bin Wahram reported: I heard Taus saying that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “When one of you relieves himself, let him not face the Qibla of Allah nor turn his back towards it, rather he should face the east or the west. Let him clean himself with three stones or three pieces of wood or three handfuls of water, then say: All praise is due to Allah who has taken away from me that which harms me and left for me that which benefits me.”

(٥٣٨) مسلمۃ بن وھرام کہتے ہیں : میں نے طاؤس کو کہتے ہوئے سنا کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : ” جب تم میں سے کوئی قضائے حاجت کو آئے تو وہ اللہ کے قبلے کی عزت کرے نہ اس کی طرف منہ کرے اور نہ ہی اس کی طرف پیٹھ، پھیر تین پتھر یا تین لکڑیاں یا پانی کے تین چلوں کے ساتھ استنجا کرے، پھر کہے : سب تعریف اللہ کے لیے ہے جس نے مجھ سے تکلیف دہ چیز کو نکال دیا اور نفع والی چیز کو روک لیا۔
Muslimah bin Wahram kahte hain : main ne Taus ko kahte huye suna ke Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : " Jab tum mein se koi qaza e hajat ko aye to wo Allah ke qibla ki izzat kare na us ki taraf munh kare aur na hi us ki taraf peeth, phir teen pathar ya teen lakdiyan ya pani ke teen chullon ke sath istinja kare, phir kahe : Sab tareef Allah ke liye hai jis ne mujh se takleef deh cheez ko nikal diya aur nafa wali cheez ko rok liya."
Aisha (RA) reported that Saraqa bin Malik came to the Prophet (PBUH) and asked him about defecation. He (PBUH) commanded him to face away from the Qibla with both his face and his back and to clean himself with three stones. However, do not use dung or bones for cleaning, nor three pieces of wood, nor three clods of earth.
(b) Imam Abu al-Hasan al-Darqutni said that no one narrates this hadith except Mubashshir bin 'Ubaid, and he is matrook (abandoned in hadith). Ash-Shaykh said: This hadith is narrated by Anas bin Malik (RA) in a marfu' manner.

(٥٣٩) سیدہ عائشہ (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ سراقہ بن مالک نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس آئے اور پاخانے کے بارے میں سوال کیا تو آپ نے اس کو حکم دیا کہ ہوا بلند کرے اور قبلہ کی جانب نہ منہ کر اور نہ پیٹھ اور تین پتھروں سے استنجا کر، لیکن اس میں گوبر نہ ہو یا تین لکڑیوں سے یا مٹی کے تین چلو سے استنجا کرے۔
(ب) امام ابوالحسن دار قظی فرماتے ہیں کہ مبشر بن عبید کے علاوہ اس روایت کو کوئی بیان نہیں کرتا اور وہ متروک الحدیث ہے۔ شیح کہتے ہیں : سیدنا انس بن مالک (رض) سے یہ روایت مرفوعا منقول ہے۔
(539) Sayyidah Ayesha (RA) se riwayat hai ki Saraqah bin Malik Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke pass aaye aur pakhanay ke baray mein sawal kiya to aap ne usko hukm diya ki hawa buland kare aur qibla ki janib na munh kare aur na peeth aur teen patharon se istinja kare, lekin us mein gobar na ho ya teen lakriyon se ya mitti ke teen challo se istinja kare.
(b) Imam Abu Al Hassan Daar Qazi farmate hain ki Mubashir bin Ubaid ke ilawa is riwayat ko koi bayan nahin karta aur wo matrook al hades hai. Sheikh kahte hain: Sayyidna Anas bin Maalik (RA) se yeh riwayat marfoo'an manqool hai.
It is narrated from the slave of Yasar bin Numair that when Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) used to urinate, he would say: Give me something with which I can clean myself. The narrator said: I used to give him a piece of wood or stone, or he would go near a wall and wipe himself with it, or he would touch the ground and he would not wash it.

(٥٤٠) یسار بن نمیر کے غلام سے روایت ہے کہ سیدنا عمر (رض) جب پیشاب کرتے تو کہتے : مجھے کوئی چیز دو جس سے میں استنجا کروں راوی کہتا ہے : میں ان کو لکڑی اور پتھر دیتا یا آپ دیوار کے پاس آتے اور اس سے مسح کرتے یا زمین کو چھوتے اور اس کو دھوتے نہیں تھے۔
