(874) Sayyidah Maimunah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I kept water for the purificatory bath of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Then she narrated a long hadith regarding the bath of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). She said: I offered him (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) a towel, but he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not take it. Rather, he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would clean (his body) with his hand. 'Amash said: I mentioned this to Ibrahim, so he said: He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) disliked it, fearing that it may become a habit.

(٨٧٤) سیدہ میمونہ (رض) فرماتی ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے غسل جنابت کے لیے پانی رکھا، پھر نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے غسل کے متعلق لمبی حدیث بیان کی۔ فرماتی ہیں : میں نے آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو رومال دیا۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اس کو نہیں لیا بلکہ آپ اپنے ہاتھ سے (جسم) صاف کرتے تھے۔ اعمش کہتے ہیں : میں نے یہ بات ابراہیم کو ذکر کی تو اس نے کہا : عادت کے پڑجانے کے ڈر سے اس کو ناپسند سمجھتے تھے۔
874 Sayyida Maimoona (Razi Allah Anha) farmati hain keh maine Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke ghusl janabat ke liye pani rakha phir Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke ghusl ke mutaliq lambi hadees bayaan ki farmati hain maine aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ko rumal diya aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne is ko nahi liya balke aap apne hath se (jism) saaf karte thay Aamash kehte hain maine yeh baat Ibrahim ko zikar ki to us ne kaha aadat ke par jane ke dar se is ko napasand samajhte thay
Narrated Sayyidah Maimunah (RA): The Prophet (ﷺ) took a bath at her place. She brought a towel for him, but he (ﷺ) took its corner. A'mash said: I mentioned this to Ibrahim. He said: It is like that, and there is no harm in drying oneself with a towel; this is a custom.

(٨٧٥) سیدہ میمونہ (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ان کے پاس غسل کیا، وہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس رومال لے کر آئی تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اس کونہ لیا۔ اعمش کہتے ہیں : میں نے ابراہیم سے ذکر کیا تو انھوں نے کہا : بات اسی طرح ہے اور رومال سے صاف کرنے میں کوئی حرج بھی نہیں ہے ، یہ تو ایک عادت ہے۔
(875) Syeda Maimoona (RA) se riwayat hai ke Nabi (SAW) ne un ke pas ghusl kiya, woh aap (SAW) ke pas rumal lekar aayi to aap (SAW) ne us kona liya. Aamash kehte hain : maine Ibrahim se zikar kiya to unhon ne kaha : baat isi tarah hai aur rumal se saaf karne mein koi harj bhi nahin hai , yeh to ek adat hai.
(876) It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that when you perform ablution, do not use a towel.
(b) It is reported from Sayyidina Uthman and Anas (may Allah be pleased with them) that there is no harm in it. It is reported from Sayyidina Hasan bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that he used to use (a towel).

(٨٧٦) سیدنا جابر (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ جب تو وضو کرے تو رومال استعمال نہ کر۔
(ب) سیدنا عثمان اور انس (رض) سے منقول ہے کہ اس میں کوئی حرج نہیں۔ سیدنا حسن بن علی (رض) سے منقول ہے کہ وہ (رومال) استعمال کرتے تھے۔
(876) Syedna Jaber (RA) se riwayat hai ke jab tu wuzu kare to rumal istemal na kar. (b) Syedna Usman aur Anas (RA) se manqol hai ke is mein koi harj nahi. Syedna Hasan bin Ali (RA) se manqol hai ke woh (rumal) istemal karte thay.
(877) It is narrated on the authority of Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had a cloth with which he would dry himself after performing ablution.
(b) Abu Muadh is Sulaiman bin Arqam and he is abandoned in Hadith.
(c) Abu Al-Hasan says that he is Ali bin Umar Al-Hafiz.

(٨٧٧) سیدہ عائشہ (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے لیے ایک کپڑا ہوتا تھا، آپ وضو کے بعد اس سے (جسم) خشک کرتے تھے۔
(ب) ابو معاذ سلیمان بن ارقم ہے اور وہ متروک الحدیث ہے۔
(ج) ابوالحسن فرماتے ہیں کہ علی بن عمر الحافظ ہے۔
(877) Syeda Aisha (RA) se riwayat hai ke Rasul Allah (SAW) ke liye ek kapra hota tha, aap wuzu ke baad us se (jism) khushk karte thay.
(b) Abu Muaz Sulaiman bin Arqam hai aur wo matrook al-hadees hai.
(j) Abu al-Hasan farmate hain ke Ali bin Umar al-Hafiz hai.
(878) Narrated by Sayyidina Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had a cloth with which he used to wipe himself after performing ablution.
(b) Shaykh says that a man narrated a hadith to Ayyub bin Ja'far that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had a cloth or a towel with which he used to wipe his face and hands.

(٨٧٨) سیدنا ابوبکر صدیق (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے لیے ایک کپڑا ہوتا تھا، آپ وضو کے بعد اسی سے (جسم) صاف کرتے تھے۔
(ب) شیخ کہتے ہیں کہ ایاس بن جعفر کو ایک شخص نے حدیث بیان کی کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کا ایک کپڑا یا تولیہ تھا، جس سے آپ اپنا چہرہ اور ہاتھ صاف کرتے تھے۔
(878) syedna abubakar siddique (rz) se riwayat hai keh nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke liye aik kapra hota tha, aap wuzu ke bad isi se (jism) saaf karte thay.
(b) sheikh kehte hain keh ayas bin jaffar ko aik shakhs ne hadees bayaan ki keh nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ka aik kapra ya toliya tha, jis se aap apna chehra aur hath saaf karte thay.
(880) (a) It is narrated from Sayyidina Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had a towel or cloth, and when he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed ablution, he would wipe his face with it, and it was made of cotton. This has been narrated by Ibn Aliyah, but I do not narrate it.
(b) It is narrated from Sayyidina Muadh ibn Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) that I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) when he performed ablution, he would wipe his face with the edge of a garment.
(c) The Shaykh says that if 'Abdul-Warith had narrated this hadith from 'Abd al-'Aziz from Anas, then the chain of narration would be Sahih (authentic), but he did not narrate it in this way. It is likely that he narrated it from the first chain.

(٨٨٠) (الف) سیدنا انس (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے لیے رومال یا کپڑا ہوتا تھا، جب آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) وضو کرتے تو اپنا چہرہ صاف کرتے اور وہ روئی کا بنا ہوا تھا ۔ اس کو ابن علیۃ نے روایت کیا ہے ، لیکن میں اس کو روایت نہیں کرتا۔
(ب) سیدنا معاذ بن جبل (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ میں نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو دیکھا، جب آپ وضو فرماتے تو کپڑے کے ایک کنارے سے اپنے چہرے کو صاف فرماتے۔
(ج) شیخ کہتے ہیں کہ اگر اس حدیث کو عبدالوارث عن عبدالعزیز عن انس بیان کرتے تو سند صحیح ہوتی مگر انھوں نے اس طرح بیان نہیں کی، اس بات کا احتمال ہے کہ انھوں نے پہلی سند سے نقل کیا ہے۔
(880) (alif) Sayyidina Anas (RA) se riwayat hai ki Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke liye rumal ya kapra hota tha, jab Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) wuzu karte to apna chehra saaf karte aur woh rui ka bana hua tha. Isko Ibn Aliya ne riwayat kiya hai, lekin main isko riwayat nahin karta. (be) Sayyidina Muaz bin Jabal (RA) se riwayat hai ki maine Rasulullah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ko dekha, jab Aap wuzu farmate to kapre ke ek kinare se apne chehre ko saaf farmate. (jeem) Shaikh kahte hain ki agar is hadees ko Abd al-Warith an Abd al-Aziz an Anas bayan karte to sanad sahih hoti magar unhon ne is tarah bayan nahin ki, is baat ka ehtemal hai ki unhon ne pahli sanad se naqal kiya hai.
(881) (a) Narrated Qais bin Sa`d (RA): The Prophet (ﷺ) came to visit him. He prepared water for him to take a bath. He (ﷺ) took a bath, then he was given a cloth dyed with saffron and he (ﷺ) wrapped himself in it.
(b) Narrated Qais bin Sa`d (RA): Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) came to us. We prepared water for him to take a bath. He (ﷺ) took a bath. Then we brought him a cloth in which there was some Wars (a kind of perfume). He (ﷺ) wrapped himself in it. It was as if I was seeing the marks of the Wars on his neck.

(٨٨١) (الف) سیدنا قیس بن سعد (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ان کی ملاقات کے لیے گئے تو انھوں نے آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے لیے غسل کا پانی رکھا، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے غسل کیا، پھر آپ کو ایک کپڑا دیا گیا جو زعفران سے رنگا ہوا تھا ، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اس کو لپیٹ لیا۔
(ب) سیدنا قیس بن سعد (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ہمارے پاس آئے، ہم نے آپ کے لیے غسل کا پانی رکھا، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے غسل کیا، ہم آپ کے پاس ایک کپڑا لے کر آئے جس میں ورس بوٹی لگی ہوئی تھی، آپ نے اس کو لپیٹ لیا گویا میں آپ کی گردن میں ورس کا نشان دیکھ رہا ہوں۔
(881) (alif) Sayyidna Qais bin Saad (RA) se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) unki mulaqat ke liye gaye to unhon ne aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke liye ghusl ka pani rakha, aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne ghusl kiya, phir aap ko ek kapda diya gaya jo zaffran se ranga hua tha, aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne us ko lapet liya.
(be) Sayyidna Qais bin Saad (RA) farmate hain ki Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) hamare pas aaye, hum ne aap ke liye ghusl ka pani rakha, aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne ghusl kiya, hum aap ke pass ek kapda lekar aaye jis mein wars buti lagi hui thi, aap ne us ko lapet liya goya main aap ki gardan mein wars ka nishan dekh raha hun.
