Chapter on No Specific Time Required for Purification Used by Someone Awaiting Prayer and Purification
باب لا وقت فيما يتطهر به المتوضئ والمغتسل
Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 922
Narrated Anas bin Malik: I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) when it was the time of the 'Asr prayer and the people searched for water but they could not find it. So they brought a little water to the Prophet (ﷺ) and he put his hand in the utensil and ordered the people to perform ablution with it. The narrator added: I saw the water springing out from underneath his fingers. The people performed ablution, even the last one of them.

(٩٢٢) سیدنا انس بن مالک (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ میں نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو دیکھا جب کہ عصر کی نماز کا وقت ہوگیا، لوگوں نے پانی تلاش کیا تو انھیں پانی نہ ملا، رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس پانی لایا گیا تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے برتن میں اپنا ہاتھ مبارک رکھا اور لوگوں کو حکم دیا کہ وہ اس سے وضو کریں۔ راوی کہتا ہے : میں نے پانی دیکھا جو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی انگلیوں کے نیچے سے پھوٹ رہا تھا، لوگوں نے وضو کیا حتی کہ آخری شخصنے بھی وضو کرلیا۔
922 Saidina Anas bin Malik (RA) se riwayat hai ki maine Rasulullah (SAW) ko dekha jab ki Asr ki namaz ka waqt hogaya, logon ne pani talash kiya to unhen pani na mila, Rasulullah (SAW) ke pass pani laya gaya to aap (SAW) ne bartan mein apna hath mubarak rakha aur logon ko hukum diya ki woh is se wuzu karen. Rawi kehta hai : maine pani dekha jo aap (SAW) ki ungliyon ke neeche se phut raha tha, logon ne wuzu kiya hatta ki aakhri shakhs ne bhi wuzu karliya.
(923) (a) It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidah Aisha (RA) that I and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) used to take a bath from one container.
(b) Imam Bukhari (RA) has narrated from Hisham with another chain.

(٩٢٣) (الف) سیدہ عائشہ (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ میں اور رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ایک برتن سے غسل کرتے تھے۔
(ب) امام بخاری (رح) نے ہشام سے ایک دوسری سند سے روایت کی ہے۔
923 a Sayyidah Ayesha RA se riwayat hai ki main aur Rasool Allah SAW ek bartan se ghusl karte thay b Imam Bukhari RH ne Hisham se ek dusri sanad se riwayat ki hai
Sayyida Aisha (RA) narrates that I and the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) used to perform Ghusl from one vessel. In those days, the vessel was called Farq.
(b) Imam Bukhari (RA) in his Sahih narrates from Adam bin Abu Iyas, on the authority of Ibn Abi Ziyad, that the vessel was called Farq.

(٩٢٤) سیدہ عائشہ (رض) فرماتی ہیں کہ میں اور رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ایک برتن سے غسل کرتے تھے۔ ان دنوں پیالے کو فرق کہا جاتا تھا۔
(ب) امام بخاری (رح) اپنی صحیح میں آدم بن ابو ایاس سے ابن ابی ذئب کے واسطے سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ پیالے کو فرق کہا جاتا تھا۔
924 Sayyida Ayesha (RA) farmati hain keh mein aur Rasool Allah (SAW) aik bartan se ghusl karte thay. Un dinon piyale ko faraq kaha jata tha.
(b) Imam Bukhari (RH) apni Sahih mein Adam bin Abu Iyas se Ibn Abi Zaib ke waste se riwayat karte hain keh piyale ko faraq kaha jata tha.
Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to perform Ghusl from a basin called Farq, and I and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to perform Ghusl from the same vessel.

(٩٢٥) سیدہ عائشہ (رض) فرماتی ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) جس پیالے میں غسل کرتے تھے اسے فرق کہا جاتا تھا، میں اور رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ایک برتن سے غسل کرتے تھے۔
925 Sayyidah Ayesha (Razi Allahu Anha) farmati hain ke Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) jis piyale mein ghusl karte thay usay farq kaha jata tha, mein aur Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ek bartan se ghusl karte thay.
Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that she and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to perform Ghusl (ritual bath) from one container, and it contained water equal to a Farq (a measurement of volume).

(٩٢٦) سیدہ عائشہ (رض) فرماتی ہیں کہ میں اور رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ایک برتن سے غسل کرتے تھے اور اس میں فرق (ایک برتن کا نام ہے) کے برابر پانی آتا تھا۔
926 Sayyidah Ayesha (RA) farmati hain keh mein aur Rasool Allah (SAW) aik bartan se ghusl karte thay aur us mein Farq (aik bartan ka naam hai) ke barabar pani aata tha.
Narrated Aisha (RA): The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to perform Ghusl from Janabah from a vessel which was called Farq.

(٩٢٧) سیدہ عائشہ (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) غسل جنابت ایک برتن سے کرتے تھے ، اسے فرق کہا جاتا تھا۔
(927) Sayyidah Aaishah (raz) se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ghusl janabat ek bartan se karte thay, use farq kaha jata tha.
(928) (a) Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that she and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to perform Ghusl from one container, and it (the container) was a Farq. (b) Imam Zuhri says that its quantity is five Qast. (c) Abu Amr says that a Qast is four Ratl. (d) Ibn Uyainah says: Three Sa' of water could fit in a Farq. (e) Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal (may Allah have mercy on him) says that a Farq was sixteen Ratl. Sa' ibn Abi Dhi'b says: A Farq is five Ratl and three Pao. The one who said eight Ratl, his narration is not preserved. (f) Imam Shafi'i (may Allah have mercy on him) says that it has reached us that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed Wudu with a Mudd and Ghusl with a Sa'.

(٩٢٨) (الف) سیدہ عائشہ (رض) فرماتی ہیں کہ میں اور رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ایک برتن سے غسل کرتے تھے اور وہ (برتن) فرق ہوتا تھا۔ (ب) امام زہری فرماتے ہیں کہ اس کی مقدار پانچ اقساط ہے۔ (ج) ابو عمرو کہتے ہیں کہ قسط چار رطل کا ہوتا ہے۔ (د) ابن عیینہ کہتے ہیں : فرق میں تین صاع پانی آتا تھا۔ (ر) امام احمد بن حنبل (رح) فرماتے ہیں کہ فرق سولہ رطل کا ہوتا تھا۔ صاع بن ابوذئب کہتے ہیں : فرق پانچ رطل اور تین پاؤ کا ہوتا ہے۔ جس شخص نے آٹھ رطل کہا ، اس کی روایت محفوظ نہیں۔ (س) امام شافعی (رح) فرماتے ہیں کہ ہمیں یہ بات پہنچی ہے کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ایک مد کے ساتھ وضو اور ایک صاع کے ساتھ غسل کیا۔
(928) (alif) Sayyidah Ayesha (raz) farmati hain keh main aur Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) aik bartan se ghusl karte thay aur wo (bartan) faraq hota tha. (b) Imam Zuhri farmate hain keh uski miqdar panch aqsaat hai. (j) Abu Amro kehte hain keh qist chaar ratl ka hota hai. (d) Ibn e Aeenah kehte hain : faraq mein teen sa'a paani aata tha. (r) Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal (reh) farmate hain keh faraq solah ratl ka hota tha. Sa'a bin Abuzaib kehte hain : faraq panch ratl aur teen pao ka hota hai. Jis shakhs ne aath ratl kaha, us ki riwayat mahfooz nahin. (s) Imam Shafi'i (reh) farmate hain keh humain yeh baat pahunchi hai keh Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne aik mudd ke saath wazu aur aik sa'a ke saath ghusl kiya.
Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to perform Ghusl (ritual bath) with one Sa' to five Mudd of water and used to perform Wudu (ablution) with one Mudd of water.

(٩٢٩) انس بن مالک (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ایک صاع سے پانچ مد تک غسل کرتے تھے اور ایک مد سے وضو کرتے تھے۔
(929) Anas bin Malik (RA) farmate hain ke Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) aik saa se panch mudd tak ghusl karte the aur ek mudd se wuzu karte the.
(930) (a) Narrated by Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to perform ablution with one mudd of water and take a bath with five mudd. (b) Imam Shafi'i (may Allah have mercy on him) says that there is no specific time limit for this. (c) It has been narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) regarding the one who is in a state of Janabah (major ritual impurity), that when you find water, pour it over your body. There is no specific time limit for this. (d) The Shaykh says that this hadith has already been mentioned and will be mentioned again later.

(٩٣٠) (الف) سیدنا انس بن مالک (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ایک مکوک سے وضو کرتے تھے اور پانچ مکوک سے غسل کرتے تھے۔ (ب) امام شافعی (رح) فرماتے ہیں کہ اس میں وقت کی تعیین نہیں ہے۔ (ج) نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے جنبی کے متعلق نقل کیا گیا ہے کہ جب تجھے پانی مل جائے تو اس کو اپنے جسم پربہا۔ اس میں وقت کی تعیین نہیں ہے۔ (د) شیخ کہتے ہیں کہ یہ حدیث گزر چکی ہے اور آگے بھی اس کا ذکر آئے گا۔
(930) (alif) Sayyidina Anas bin Malik (RA) se riwayat hai ki Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ek makok se wuzu karte thay aur panch makok se ghusl karte thay. (be) Imam Shafai (RA) farmate hain ki is mein waqt ki tayin nahin hai. (jeem) Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) se junubi ke mutalliq naqal kya gaya hai ki jab tujhe pani mil jaye to is ko apne jism par baha. Is mein waqt ki tayin nahin hai. (daal) Sheikh kahte hain ki yeh hadees guzar chuki hai aur aage bhi is ka zikar aye ga.
