Chapter on what is found buried in the graves of the people of ignorance.
باب ما يوجد منه مدفونا في قبور أهل الجاهلية

Abdullah bin Amr bin As (RA) narrated that when we left Taif, we passed by a grave. The Prophet (SAW) said, "This is the grave of so-and-so, and he used to seek refuge in this sanctuary. When he left, he was afflicted by the same calamity that befell his people, so he was buried here. And the sign of it is that his gold cane is buried with him. If you were to dig up his grave, you would find it with him." So, the people rushed to it and took out the cane from there, and it was the grave of Abu Rughal.

(٧٦٥٢) عبداللہ بن عمرو بن عاص (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے سنا ، جب ہم طائف سے نکلے تو ہمارا گزر ایک قبر سے ہوا تو آپ نے فرمایا : یہ قبر فلاں کی ہے اور یہ اس حرم سے اس کے ذریعے سے بچاؤ حاصل کرتا تھا۔ جب وہاں سے نکلا تو اسے آفت نے آلیا اسی جگہ پر جو آفت اس کی قوم پر آئی تھی تو اسے اس میں دفن کردیا گیا اور اس کی نشانی یہ ہے کہ اس کی سونے کی چھڑی اس کے ساتھ دفن ہے۔ اگر تم اس کی قبر کو کھو لو تو اسے اس کے ساتھ پاؤ گے تو لوگوں نے اس کی طرف جلدی کی اور وہاں سے وہ چھڑی نکال لی اور یہ قبر ابو رغال کی تھی۔
(7652) Abdullah bin Amro bin Aas (RA) farmate hain ki maine Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) se suna, jab hum Taif se nikle to hamara guzar ek qabar se hua to aap ne farmaya: Yeh qabar falan ki hai aur yeh iss haram se iss ke zariye se bachao hasil karta tha. Jab wahan se nikla to ise aafat ne aaliya usi jagah par jo aafat iss ki qaum par aai thi to ise iss mein dafan kar diya gaya aur iss ki nishani yeh hai ki iss ki sone ki chhari iss ke sath dafan hai. Agar tum iss ki qabar ko kholo to ise iss ke sath pao ge to logon ne iss ki taraf jaldi ki aur wahan se woh chhari nikal li aur yeh qabar Abu Reghal ki thi.
Abdullah bin Amr narrated that he was with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) on a journey. They passed by a grave, so the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "This is the grave of Abu Rughal, who was from the people of Thamud. When Allah destroyed his people - for whatever reason He destroyed them - he was saved because he was in the sanctuary. So he left it and when he reached this place, he died and was buried, and his gold stick was buried with him." So we hurried and took it out.

(٧٦٥٣) عبداللہ بن عمرو فرماتے ہیں کہ وہ ایک سفر میں رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے ساتھ تھے، وہ ایک قبر کے پاس سے گزرے تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : یہ ابو رغال کی قبر ہے، جو قوم ثمود میں سے تھا۔ جب اللہ نے اس کی قوم کو ہلاک کیا جس وجہ سے بھی ہلاک کیا تو وہ حرم میں ہونے کی وجہ سے بچ رہا، سو وہ وہاں سے نکلا جب اس جگہ پہنچا تو وہ فوت ہوگیا اور اسے دفن کردیا اور اس کے ساتھ اس کی سونے کی چھڑی کو بھی۔ پھر ہم نے جلدی جلدی کی اور اسے وہاں سے نکال لیا۔
7653 Abdullah bin Amro farmate hain ki woh aik safar mein Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke sath thay, woh aik qabar ke paas se guzre to aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Yeh Abu Reghal ki qabar hai, jo qaum Samood mein se tha. Jab Allah ne uski qaum ko halaak kiya jis wajah se bhi halaak kiya to woh haram mein hone ki wajah se bach raha, so woh wahan se nikla jab us jagah pahuncha to woh foot hogaya aur use dafan kardiya aur uske sath uski sone ki chhari ko bhi. Phir humne jaldi jaldi ki aur use wahan se nikal liya.
(7654) Jarir bin Rabah reported on the authority of his father that he found a cemetery in Madain, in it he found a man who was wearing a garment made of gold and he also found other property with him. He came to 'Ammar b. Yasir (RA) and he wrote to 'Umar (RA), whereupon 'Umar (RA) wrote to him (asking him) to give it to him and not to take anything from it.
The Shaikh says: If he found it from the grave of a dead person, then it belongs to him and there is one-fifth in it as if it had not reached the amount of nisab. Then it should be given to him as a loan so that he may take it out.

(٧٦٥٤) جریر بن رباح اپنے والد سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ انھوں نے مدائن میں ایک قبریائی، اس میں ایک آدمی کو پایا جس پر ایسا لباس تھا جو سونے سے بنا ہوا تھا اور اس کے ساتھ اور مال بھی پایا ۔ وہ عمار بن یاسر (رض) کے پاس آئے تو انھوں نے عمر (رض) کی طرف خط لکھا ، پھر عمر (رض) نے انھیں لکھ بھیجا کہ وہ انھیں دے دیں ان سے نہ چھینیں۔
شیخ فرماتے ہیں : اگر وہ قبرستان مردہ سے ملے تو وہی اس کے مالک ہیں اور اس میں خمس ہے گویا کہ وہ نصاب کو نہیں پہنچایا پھر یہ انھیں کو سونپ دیا جائے تاکہ وہ اسے نکال لیں۔
7654 Jarir bin Rabah apne walid se naqal farmate hain ki unhon ne Mada'in mein ek qabristaan mein ek aadmi ko paya jis par aisa libas tha jo sone se bana hua tha aur uske sath aur maal bhi paya. Wo Ammar bin Yasir (RA) ke pass aaye to unhon ne Umar (RA) ki taraf khat likha, phir Umar (RA) ne unhen likh bheja ki wo unhen de den unse na chhinen. Sheikh farmate hain: Agar wo qabristan murda se mile to wohi uske malik hain aur us mein khums hai goya ki wo nisab ko nahin pahunchaya phir ye unhin ko sonp diya jaye taaki wo use nikal len.
