Chapter on testimony established for sighting the Eid crescent after noon.

باب الشهادة تثبت على رؤية هلال الفطر بعد الزوال

Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 8196

Umayr ibn Anas, who was a companion, narrated that the people of Medina had kept a fast one morning in the last days of Ramadan during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). A caravan came at the end of the day and they testified to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that they had seen the new moon the previous night. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered the people to break their fast and they went to the Eid prayer-ground the next morning.

(٨١٩٦) عمیر بن انس نقل فرماتے ہیں جو صحابی تھے کہ اہل مدینہ نے ایک صبح روزے کی حالت میں کی رمضان کے آخری دنوں میں رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے دور میں۔ دن کے اخیر میں ایک قافلہ آیا اور انھوں نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس گواہی دی کہ انھوں نے کل چاند دیکھا ہے تو رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے لوگوں کو افطار کا حکم دیا اور وہ صبح عیدگاہ پہنچیں۔

(8196) Umair bin Anas naqal farmate hain jo sahabi the keh ahle Madina ne aik subah rozey ki halat mein ki Ramadan ke aakhri dinon mein Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke daur mein. Din ke akhir mein aik qaafla aaya aur unhon ne Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke paas gawahi di keh unhon ne kal chand dekha hai to Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne logon ko iftar ka hukum diya aur wo subah eidgah pahunche.

٨١٩٦ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُقْرِئُ، أنبأ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْقَاضِي، ثنا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ، ثنا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عُمَيْرِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ،عَنْ عُمُومَةٍ لَهُ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:أَصْبَحَ أَهْلُ الْمَدِينَةِ صِيَامًا فِي آخِرِ يَوْمٍ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَدِمَ رَكْبٌ مِنْ آخِرِ النَّهَارِ فَشَهِدُوا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُمْ رَأَوَا الْهِلَالَ بِالْأَمْسِ، فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ النَّاسَ أَنْ يُفْطِرُوا وَيَغْدُوا إِلَى مُصَلَّاهُمْ وَكَذَلِكَ رَوَاهُ بِمَعْنَاهُ شُعْبَةُ وَهُشَيْمُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِي وَحْشِيَّةَ، وَهُوَ إِسْنَادٌ حَسَنٌ، وَأَبُو عُمَيْرٍ رَوَاهُ عَنْ عُمُومَةٍ لَهُ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَصْحَابُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كُلُّهُمْ ثِقَاتٌ، فَسَوَاءٌ سُمُّوا أَوْ لَمْ يُسَمَّوْا

Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 8197

Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from his Ansar uncles that they testified before the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about sighting the moon. So he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) commanded them to go out for Eid the next day.

(٨١٩٧) انس (رض) اپنے انصار چچاؤں سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہا کہ انھوں نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس چاند دیکھنے کی گواہی دی تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے انھیں حکم دیا کہ کل عید کے لیے نکلیں۔

(8197) Anas (Raz) apne Ansaar chachaon se naqal farmate hain kaha ke unhon ne Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke pass chand dekhne ki gawahi di to aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne unhen hukum diya ke kal Eid ke liye niklein.

٨١٩٧ - وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ هُوَ الْأَصَمُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الصَّغَانِيُّ، ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ عُمُومَةً لَهُ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ، شَهِدُوا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى رُؤْيَةِ الْهِلَالِ، فَأَمَرَهُمْ أَنْ يَخْرُجُوا لِعِيدِهِمْ مِنَ الْغَدِ تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ وَغَلِطَ فِيهِ، إِنَّمَا رَوَاهُ شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ

Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 8198

Umayr ibn Anas narrated from his paternal uncles, who were companions of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), that a caravan came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and testified that they had sighted the crescent moon the previous day. So the Prophet (ﷺ) commanded them to break their fast and said, "Tomorrow we will proceed to the place of Eid prayer." Shu`bah said: "It was at the end of the day."

٨١٩٨۔ عمیر بن انس اپنے چچاؤں سے نقل فرماتے ہیں جو رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے صحابی تھے کہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس ایک قافلہ آیا اور انھوں نے چاند کے دیکھنے کی گواہی دی کہ ہم نے کل چاند دیکھا ہے تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے انھیں افطارکاحکم دیا اور یہ کہ کل عید گاہ کی طرف نکلیں ۔ شعبہ کہتے ہیں : یہ دن کا آخر تھا۔

8198 Umair bin Anas apne chachaon se naqal farmate hain jo Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke sahabi the ke aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke pass ek qaafla aaya aur unhon ne chand ke dekhne ki gawahi di ke hum ne kal chand dekha hai to aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne unhen iftar ka hukm diya aur ye ke kal eid gah ki taraf niklen. Shuaba kahte hain: Ye din ka akhir tha.

٨١٩٨ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو نَصْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ بِهَا، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مَنْصُورٍ الطُّوسِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الصَّائِغُ، ثنا رَوْحٌ، ثنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عُمَيْرِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ،عَنْ عُمُومَتِهِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:جَاءَ رَكْبٌ إِلَى نَبِيِّ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَشَهِدُوا أَنَّهُمْ رَأَوْهُ بِالْأَمْسِ، يَعْنِي الْهِلَالَ، فَأَمَرَهُمْ أَنْ يُفْطِرُوا،وَأَنْ يَخْرُجُوا مِنَ الْغَدِ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ:أَرَاهُ مِنْ آخِرِ النَّهَارِ

Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 8199

Rubi' bin Harash narrated from a companion (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the last day of Ramadan, the people differed (about the sighting of the moon). Then, the people of Dhu Diyah came and testified before the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that they had seen the moon the previous evening. So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered the people to break their fast and said that they should come to the Eid prayer ground tomorrow.

(٨١٩٩) ربعی بن حراش ایک صحابی (رض) سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ رمضان کے آخری دن میں لوگوں نے اختلاف کیا تو دودیہاتی آئے، انھوں نے نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس گواہی دی کہ انھوں نے کل چاند دیکھا ہے تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے لوگوں کو افطار کا حکم دے دیا اور یہ کہ کل عیدگاہ آئیں۔

Rabi bin Harash aik sahabi (RA) se naqal farmate hain ke Ramzan ke aakhri din mein logon ne ikhtilaf kiya to dodayhati aaye, unhon ne Nabi Kareem (SAW) ke pass gawahi di ke unhon ne kal chand dekha hai to aap (SAW) ne logon ko iftar ka hukum de diya aur ye ke kal eidgah aayen.

٨١٩٩ - وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ، أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ دَاسَةَ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثنا خَلَفُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ الْمُقْرِئُ، ثنا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ حِرَاشٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ،مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:اخْتَلَفَ النَّاسُ فِي آخِرِ يَوْمٍ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ، فَقَدِمَ أَعْرَابِيَّانِ فَشَهِدَا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِاللهِ لَأَهَلَّا الْهِلَالَ أَمْسِ عَشِيَّةً، فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ النَّاسَ أَنْ يُفْطِرُوا، وَأَنْ يَغْدُوا إِلَى مُصَلَّاهُمْ
