Chapter on the report concerning fasting the white days of Sha'ban.
باب الخبر الذي ورد في صوم سرر شعبان
Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 7967
Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to him, or to someone else while he was listening, "Did you fast anything at the end of this month?" He said, "O Messenger of Allah, no." He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "When you break your fast, then fast two days in its place."

(٧٩٦٧) عمران بن حصین (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ان سے کہا یا کسی آدمی سے کہا اور وہ سن رہے تھے کہ تو نے اس مہینے کے آخر میں کوئی روزہ رکھا ؟ تو اس آدمی نے کہا : اے اللہ کے رسول ! نہیں۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : جب تو روزہ افطار کرے گا تو اس کے عوض دو روزے رکھ لینا۔
Imran bin Husain (RA) farmate hain ki Rasool Allah (SAW) ne un se kaha ya kisi aadmi se kaha aur wo sun rahe the ki too ne is mahine ke akhir mein koi roza rakha? To is aadmi ne kaha: Aye Allah ke Rasool! Nahi. Aap (SAW) ne farmaya: Jab too roza iftar karega to is ke awaz do rozy rakh lena.
Mehdi bin Maymoon narrated this hadith with this chain that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to a man, "Did you fast at the end of this month?" He said: "No." Meaning, in Sha'ban. So you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When you finish fasting, fast for a day or two."

(٧٩٦٨) مھدی بن میمون نے اس سند کے ساتھ اس حدیث کو بیان کیا ہے کہ نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ایک آدمی سے کہا : اس مہینے کے آخر میں تو نے روزے رکھے ہیں ؟ اس نے کہا : نہیں یعنی ، شعبان میں تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : جب تو روزہ ختم کرلے ایک دن یا دو دن کے روزے رکھنا۔

٧٩٦٩۔ عمران بن حصین (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اسے یا کسی دوسرے شخص سے کہا : کیا تو نے شعبان کے آخر میں روزے رکھے ہیں ؟ اس نے کہا : نہیں تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : جب تو افطار کرے تو دو دن کا روزہ رکھنا۔
7969. Imran bin Husain (RA) farmate hain ke Nabi Kareem ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne use ya kisi dusre shakhs se kaha : kya tune Shaban ke akhir mein roze rakhe hain ? Usne kaha : nahi to aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : jab tu iftar kare to do din ka roza rakhna.
Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that you should fast the first part of this month and also on the last day. By the first part is meant the first days of the month, and it has also been stated that it refers to the last ones. He intended by these days when the moon disappears, and the fast of the beginning or end of the month is meant, the day of doubt, according to his habit.

(٧٩٧٠) حضرت معاویہ (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے سنا کہ اس مہینے کے روزے رکھو اور آخری دن میں بھی۔
سر سے مراد مہینے کے پہلے روزے ہیں اور یہ بھی بیان ہوا ہے کہ اس سے مرادآخری ہیں۔ انھوں نے ان دنوں میں ارادہ کیا جب چاند غائب ہوتا ہے اور اس کا شک کے دن سے پہلے یا آخر مہینے کا روزہ مراد ہے ، شک کے دن میں ۔ جب اس کی عادت کے موافق ہو۔
Hazrat Muawiya (RA) farmate hain ke maine Rasool Allah (SAW) se suna ke is mahine ke roze rakho aur aakhri din mein bhi. Sar se murad mahine ke pehle roze hain aur ye bhi bayan hua hai ke is se murad aakhri hain. Unhon ne in dinon mein irada kiya jab chand ghaib hota hai aur is ka shak ke din se pehle ya aakhir mahine ka roza murad hai, shak ke din mein. Jab is ki aadat ke mutabiq ho.
