Chapter: A pilgrim does not cover his head, but he may cover his face.
باب: لا يغطي المحرم رأسه وله أن يغطي وجهه

Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that a man was standing with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in Arafah when his camel threw him off and he died. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Wash him with water and leaves of the lote tree, shroud him in two pieces of cloth, do not apply perfume on him, and do not cover his head. Verily, Allah will raise him on the Day of Resurrection reciting Talbiyah."

(٩٠٨١) ابن عباس (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ ایک شخص رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے ساتھ عرفہ میں کھڑا تھا کہ اس کو اس کی اونٹنی نے گرا دیا اور وہ مرگیا تو رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اس کو پانی اور بیری کے پتوں کے ساتھ غسل دو اور دو کپڑوں میں کفن دے دو اس کو خوشبو نہ لگاؤ اور اس کا سر بھی نہ ڈھانپو، یقیناً اللہ تعالیٰ اس کو قیامت کے دن تلبیہ کہتے ہوئے کو اٹھائے گا۔
9081 Ibn Abbas (RA) farmate hain ke ek shakhs Rasul Allah (SAW) ke sath Arafah mein khara tha ke usko uski untni ne gira diya aur woh mar gaya to Rasul Allah (SAW) ne farmaya: usko pani aur beri ke patton ke sath ghusl do aur do kapron mein kafan de do usko khushbu na lagao aur uska sar bhi na dhako yaqinan Allah Ta'ala usko qiyamat ke din talbiyah kahte huye uthaye ga.
Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that a man was standing with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in Arafah when his she-camel threw him off and he died. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Wash him with water and lotus leaves, shroud him in two pieces of cloth, and do not perfume him or cover his head, for verily Allah, the Exalted, will raise him reciting the Talbiyah on the Day of Resurrection."

(9083) (a) Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that a man's she-camel broke his neck while he was in the state of Ihram. He died, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Wash him with water and lotus leaves, shroud him in two pieces of cloth, and do not cover his head or face. He will be raised on the Day of Resurrection reciting Talbiyah."
(b) It was narrated from Hammad (his words are): "Do not cover his head."

(٩٠٨٣) (الف) ابن عباس (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ ایک آدمی کا اس کی اونٹنی نے منکا توڑدیا جب کہ وہ محرم تھا وہ فوت ہوگیا تو رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اس کو پانی اور بیری کے پتوں کے ساتھ غسل دو اور اسی کے دو کپڑوں میں کفنا دو اور اس کا سر اور چہرہ نہ ڈھانپو، یہ قیامت کے دن تلبیہ کہتا ہوا اٹھے گا۔
(ب) حماد سے روایت ہے (اس کے الفاظ یہ ہیں) اس کے سر کو نہ ڈھانپو۔

Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that a man’s she-camel broke her neck (and fell on him and he died) while we were with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in the state of Ihram. So he (the Prophet) said: “Wash him with water and lotus leaves and shroud him in two pieces of cloth but do not perfume him and do not cover his head, for verily Allah will raise him on the Day of Resurrection reciting the Talbiyah.”

(٩٠٨٤) ابن عباس (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ ایک آدمی کی اونٹنی نے اس کی گردن توڑ دی اور ہم نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے ساتھ حالت احرام میں تھے تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اس کو پانی اور بیری کے پتوں میں غسل دے دو اور اس کے دو کپڑوں میں ہی کفن دو، اس کو خوشبو نہ لگاؤ اور سر نہ ڈھانپو، بیشک اللہ تعالیٰ اس کو قیامت کے دن تلبیہ کہتے ہوئے اٹھائے گا۔
9084 Ibn Abbas (RA) farmate hain keh aik aadmi ki untni ne uski gardan tor di aur hum Nabi (SAW) ke sath halat ehraam mein thay to aap (SAW) ne farmaya: isko pani aur berry ke paton mein ghusl de do aur iske do kapron mein hi kafan do, isko khushbu na lagao aur sar na dhanpo, beshak Allah Ta'ala isko qayamat ke din talbiyah kahte huye uthaye ga.
(9085) Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Cover his face, but do not cover his head."
(b) Abu Bishr said: "Do not cover his head or his face."
(c) It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Cover his face, but do not cover his head."

(٩٠٨٥) ابن عباس (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اس کا چہرہ ڈھانپ دو اور سر نہ ڈھانپو۔
(ب) ابو بشر فرماتے ہیں کہ اس کا سر اور چہرہ نہیں ڈھانپیں گے۔
(ج) ابن عباس (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اس کا چہرہ ڈھانپ دو اور سر نہ ڈھانپو۔
(9085) Ibn Abbas (RA) farmate hain keh Nabi (SAW) ne farmaya: Is ka chehra dhanp do aur sar na dhanpo.
(b) Abu Bushar farmate hain keh is ka sar aur chehra nahi dhanpein ge.
(j) Ibn Abbas (RA) se riwayat hai keh Nabi (SAW) ne farmaya: Is ka chehra dhanp do aur sar na dhanpo.
Abdullah bin Amir bin Rabi'ah narrates: I saw Uthman bin Affan on a very cold day at a place called 'Arj. He was in the state of Ihram and had covered his face with a sheet of Arjawan (a type of cloth).

(٩٠٨٦) عبداللہ بن عامر بن ربیعہ فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے عثمان بن عفان کو شدید سردی کے دن میں عرج نامی جگہ پر دیکھا کہ انھوں نے حالت احرام میں اپنا چہرہ ارجوان کی چادر کے ساتھ ڈھانپا ہوا تھا۔
9086 Abdullah bin Aamir bin Rabia farmate hain ki maine Usman bin Affan ko shadeed sardi ke din mein Arj nami jaga par dekha ki unhon ne halat ehram mein apna chehra Arjawan ki chadar ke sath dhanpa hua tha.
Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "A Muhrim (person in the state of Ihram) can take a bath, wash his clothes, cover his nose from dust, and cover his face while sleeping."
Grade: Da'if
(٩٠٨٩) جابر (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ محرم غسل کرسکتا ہے، کپڑے دھو سکتا ہے، گرد و غبار سے اپنا ناک ڈھانپ سکتا ہے اور سوتے ہوئے اپنا چہرہ چھپا سکتا ہے۔
