Chapter on one who chooses to ride due to increased expenses and comfort for supplication, and that the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, performed Hajj while riding, and goodness lies in everything the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, did.
باب من اختار الركوب لما فيه من زيادة النفقة والإجمام للدعاء وأن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم حج راكبا والخير في كل ما صنع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم
Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 8648
Umm al-Mu'minin Sayyida Aisha Siddiqa (ra) narrates that I submitted: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! The people will leave having performed two acts of worship and I will have only performed one! So you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Wait. When you are in a state of purity, then go to Tan'im and recite the Talbiyah and then meet us at such and such place, but all of this is contingent upon your (physical) ability and means.

(٨٦٤٨) ام المومنین سیدہ عائشہ صدیقہ (رض) فرماتی ہیں کہ میں نے عرض کیا : اے اللہ کے رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ! لوگ دو عبادتیں کر کے جائیں گے اور میں صرف ایک ! تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : انتظار کرلو۔ جب حالت طہر میں آجاؤ تو تنعیم سے جا کر تلبیہ کہہ لینا اور پھر فلاں فلاں جگہ پر ہم سے مل جانا، لیکن یہ سب تیری تھکاوٹ یا خرچہ پر منحصر ہے۔
8648 Ummulmomineen Sayyida Ayesha Siddiqa (Razi Allahu Anha) farmati hain keh maine arz kiya: Aye Allah ke Rasool ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم))! Log do ibaadaten kar ke jayenge aur mein sirf ek! To aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Intezar karlo. Jab halat tahur mein aajao to tan'eem se ja kar talbiyah keh lena aur phir falan falan jagah par hum se mil jana, lekin yeh sab teri thakan ya kharcha par munhasir hai.
Sayyiduna Buraidah Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that spending in Hajj is seventy times better than spending in the path of Allah (Jihad).

(٨٦٤٩) سیدنا بریدہ اسلمی (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ حج میں خرچ کرنا جہاد فی سبیل اللہ میں خرچ کرنے سے ستر گناہ افضل ہے۔
(8649) syedna baridah aslamee (rz) farmate hain ki hajj mein kharch karna jihad fi sabeel allah mein kharch karne se sattar gunaah afzal hai.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the people of Yemen would perform Hajj without carrying provisions, saying, "We are reliant upon Allah." They would beg from people during their journey to Makkah for Hajj. So, Allah Almighty revealed this verse: {وَتَزَوَّدُوا فَإِنَّ خَیْرَ الزَّادِ التَّقْوَی} "And take provisions (with you) for the journey, but indeed, the best provision is righteousness."

(٨٦٥٠) سیدنا عبداللہ بن عباس (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ اہل یمن حج کرتے تھے اور زادراہ ساتھ نہیں لیتے تھے اور کہتے تھے کہ ہم توکل کرنے والے ہیں اور وہ مکہ تک حج کرنے آتے ہوئے لوگوں سے مانگتے تھے تو اللہ تعالیٰ نے یہ آیت نازل کردی : { وَتَزَوَّدُوا فَإِنَّ خَیْرَ الزَّادِ التَّقْوَی }” اور زاد ِراہ لے کر چلو، یقیناً تقویٰ بہتر زاد ِراہ ہے۔ “
(8650) sydna abdullah bin abbas (rz) farmaty hain keh ahl yaman hajj karty thy aur zadrah sath nahi lety thy aur kehty thy keh hum توکل krny waly hain aur wo makkah tak hajj krny aty hue logon sy mangty thy to allah taala ny ye ayat nazil kardi : { وَتَزَوَّدُوا فَإِنَّ خَیْرَ الزَّادِ التَّقْوَی }” aur zad rah le kar chalo, yaqeenan taqwa behtar zad rah hai “.
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) used to perform Hajj on a mount, and he was not stingy. He narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also performed Hajj on a mount.

(٨٦٥١) سیدنا انس بن مالک (رض) سواری پر حج کرتے تھے اور وہ بخیل نہیں تھے اور بیان کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے بھی سواری پر حج کیا۔
(8651) Sayyidina Anas bin Malik (RA) sawari par Hajj karte thay aur woh bakhil nahin thay aur bayan karte hain ki Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne bhi sawari par Hajj kiya.
Isaac Saeed narrated from his father that he performed Tawaf al-Sadr with Ibn Umar. A Yemeni caravan passed by us; their saddles were of leather, and their camels' reins were of fiber ropes. Abdullah said: "Whoever wishes to see a caravan most resembling the caravan that came with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in the Farewell Pilgrimage, then let him look at this caravan."

(٨٦٥٢) اسحاق سعید اپنے والد سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ میں نے ابن عمر (رض) کے ساتھ صدر والے دن طواف صدر کیا تو ہمارے ساتھ ایک یمنی قافلہ گزرا ، ان کے کجاوے چمڑے کے تھے اور ان کے اونٹوں کی مہاریں پیٹی کی رسی کی تھیں تو عبداللہ (رض) نے فرمایا : جو یہ چاہتا ہے کہ اس قافلہ کے مشابہ ترین قافلہ دیکھے جو حجِ وداع والے سال رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے ساتھ آیا تھا تو وہ اس قافلہ کو دیکھ لے۔
(8652) Ishaq Saeed apne walid se riwayat karte hain ke maine Ibn Umar (RA) ke sath Sadr wale din tawaf Sadr kiya to hamare sath ek Yamani qaafla guzra, un ke kajave chamade ke the aur un ke oonton ki meharen peti ki rassi ki thin to Abdullah (RA) ne farmaya: Jo ye chahta hai ke is qaafle ke mushahbih tareen qaafla dekhe jo Hajj-e-Wida wale saal Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke sath aaya tha to wo is qaafle ko dekh le.
Bashr bin Qadamah Dhubabi (may Allah be pleased with him) said: My eyes saw my beloved Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) on the day of Arafah in the midst of the people. He was riding a red Qaswa camel and beneath him was a striped sheet. He said: "O Allah, do not make this Hajj a Hajj of hypocrisy and fame, nor a wasted one." And the people were saying: This is the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Saeed bin Bashir said: I asked Abdullah bin Hakeem: "O Abu Hakeem, what is Qaswa?" He said: "A camel whose ears have been cut off is called Qaswa so that it may hear better."

(٨٦٥٣) بشر بن قدامہ ضبابی (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ میری آنکھوں نے میرے محبوب رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو دیکھا وہ لوگوں کے ساتھ میدان عرفات میں سرخ رنگ کی قصواء اونٹنی پر سوار تھے اور ان کے نیچے بولانی چادر تھی اور وہ فرما رہے تھے : اے اللہ ! اس حج کو ریا کاری اور شہرت والا حج نہ بنانا اور نہ ہی اس کو ضائع کرنا اور لوگ کہہ رہے تھے : یہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ہیں۔ سعید بن بشیر کہتے ہیں : میں نے عبداللہ بن حکیم سے پوچھا : اے ابو حکیم ! یہ قصوی کیا ہے ؟ تو انھوں نے کہا : جس کے کان کٹے ہوں، اونٹنی کے کان کاٹ دیے جاتے ہیں تاکہ وہ زیادہ سنے۔
8653 Bashar bin Qadama Dabaabi (RA) farmate hain ki meri aankhon ne mere mahboob Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ko dekha woh logon ke sath maidan Arafat mein surkh rang ki qiswa untni par sawar thay aur un ke neeche bolani chadar thi aur woh farma rahe thay: Aye Allah! Is Hajj ko riyakari aur shohrat wala Hajj na banana aur na hi is ko zaya karna aur log keh rahe thay: Yeh Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) hain. Saeed bin Bashir kehte hain: Maine Abdullah bin Hakeem se poocha: Aye Abu Hakeem! Yeh qaswi kya hai? To unhon ne kaha: Jis ke kaan kate hon, untni ke kaan kaat diye jate hain taake woh zyada sune.
