Chapter on the two corners that follow the Black Stone.
باب الركنين اللذين يليان الحجر
Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 9237
Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that he saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) touching only the two Yemeni corners of the Kaaba.

(٩٢٣٧) ابن عمر (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو میں نے بیت اللہ کے صرف دو یمانی رکنوں کو ہی چھوتے دیکھا ہے۔
(9237) Ibn Umar (RA) farmate hain ke Rasul Allah (SAW) ko main ne Bait Ullah ke sirf do yamani ruknon ko hi chhote dekha hai.
Ubaidullah bin Juraij said to Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), "I have seen you touching only the Yemeni corners (of the Ka'bah), so he (Abdullah bin Umar) said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) touching only the Yemeni corners."

(٩٢٣٩) عبیداللہ بن جریح نے عبداللہ بن عمر (رض) سے کہا کہ میں نے آپ کو دیکھا ہے کہ آپ صرف یمانی رکنوں کو ہی چھوتے ہیں تو انھوں نے فرمایا : میں نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو صرف یمانی ارکان کو ہی چھوتے دیکھا ہے۔
9239 Obaidullah bin Jarih ne Abdullah bin Umar (rz) se kaha ki maine aap ko dekha hai ki aap sirf Yamani ruknon ko hi chhote hain to unhon ne farmaya : maine Rasulullah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ko sirf Yamani arkaan ko hi chhote dekha hai.
Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I did not see the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) doing Ramal except at the Yemeni corners (of the Ka'bah).

(٩٢٤٠) ابن عباس (رض) نے فرمایا : میں نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو یمانی رکنوں کے علاوہ اور کسی کو جھوتے نہیں دیکھا۔
(9240) Ibn Abbas (RA) ne farmaya : mein ne Rasul Allah (SAW) ko yamani ruknon ke ilawa aur kisi ko jhote nahin dekha.
(9241) (a) Abu Tufail narrated that when Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) performed Hajj, he used to touch every corner of the Ka'bah he came across. Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to touch only the Yemeni Corner and the Black Stone. Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Nothing from the corners has been left out (from the religion).
(b) Imam Shafi'i (may Allah be pleased with him) said: None of them both left touching these two (the Yemeni Corner and the Black Stone) due to shifting of the location of the House (Ka'bah), but they touched what the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) touched, and refrained from what the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) refrained from.

(٩٢٤١) (الف) ابوطفیل فرماتے ہیں کہ معاویہ (رض) نے حج کیا تو بیت اللہ کے جس کونے پر بھی آتے ، اس کو چھوتے تو ابن عباس (رض) نے فرمایا : رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) صرف رکن یمانی اور حجر اسود کو ہی چھوتے تھے تو معاویہ (رض) نے فرمایا : ارکان میں کچھ بھی نہیں چھوڑا گیا ہے۔
(ب) امام شافعی (رض) فرماتے ہیں : کسی ایک نے بھی ان دونوں کا استلام بیت اللہ سے نقل مکانی کی وجہ سے نہیں چھوڑا، لیکن انھوں نے اس کا استلام کیا جس کا استلام رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے کیا اور اس سے رک گئے جس سے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) رک گئے۔
9241 Alif Abu Tufail farmate hain ke Muawiya (Raz) ne Hajj kiya to Baitullah ke jis kone par bhi aate us ko chhote to Ibn Abbas (Raz) ne farmaya: Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) sirf Rukn Yamani aur Hajar Aswad ko hi chhote the to Muawiya (Raz) ne farmaya: Arkan mein kuchh bhi nahin chhoda gaya hai. Be Imam Shafai (Raz) farmate hain: Kisi ek ne bhi in donon ka istilaam Baitullah se nakli makani ki wajah se nahin chhoda lekin unhon ne is ka istilaam kiya jis ka istilaam Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne kiya aur is se ruk gaye jis se Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ruk gaye.
(9242) (a) Ya'la said: I was performing Tawaf with 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). When we reached the Yemeni corners (Western corners), I said: Why don't you touch them? and I stood between them and the wall. He said: Didn't you perform Tawaf with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)? I said: Yes, I did. He said: Did you see the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) touching them? I said: No. He said: Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is the best example for you, so follow him.
(b) Imam Shafi'i (may Allah have mercy on him) said: The reason why we see these two corners like this is that the Ka'bah was not completed on the foundations of Ibrahim (peace be upon him), so they (the two corners) became like the Ka'bah. Imam Shafi'i (may Allah have mercy on him) said: According to our opinion, the reason is that the Ka'bah was not completed on the foundations of Ibrahim (peace be upon him), so these corners are also towards the Ka'bah.

(٩٢٤٢) (الف) یعلی فرماتے ہیں کہ میں عمر (رض) کے ساتھ طواف کر رہا تھا، ہم مغربی رکنوں کے پاس پہنچے تو میں نے کہا : آپ ان کو کیوں نہیں چھوتے اور میں ان کے اور دیوار کے درمیان حائل ہوگیا تو انھوں نے کہا : کیا آپ نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے ساتھ طواف نہیں کیا ؟ میں نے کہا : کیوں نہیں، انھوں نے کہا : کیا آپ نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو انھیں چھوتے دیکھا ہے ؟ میں نے کہا : نہیں، انھوں نے کہا : تو آپ کے لیے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) میں بہترین نمونہ ہے اس کو ہی اپنائیے۔
(ب) امام شافعی (رض) فرماتے ہیں : ان دونوں میں علت جو ہم دیکھتے ہیں یہ ہے کہ بیت اللہ ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) کی بنیادوں پر مکمل نہیں کیا گیا تو وہ دونوں بیت اللہ کی طرح ہوگئے۔
امام شافعی (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ ہمارے خیال کے مطابق سبب یہ ہے کہ بیت اللہ کو ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) کی بنیادوں پر مکمل نہیں کیا گیا ، لہٰذا یہ کونے بھی بیت اللہ کی طرف ہیں۔
(9242) (alif) Yaali farmate hain ke main Umar (rz) ke sath tawaf kar raha tha, hum maghribi ruknon ke pass pahunche to main ne kaha : Aap in ko kyon nahin chhote aur main in ke aur deewar ke darmiyaan hail ho gaya to unhon ne kaha : Kya aap ne Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke sath tawaf nahin kiya ? Main ne kaha : Kyon nahin, unhon ne kaha : Kya aap ne Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ko inhen chhote dekha hai ? Main ne kaha : Nahin, unhon ne kaha : To aap ke liye Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) mein behtarin namuna hai is ko hi apnaiye.
(be) Imam Shafi (rz) farmate hain : In donon mein illat jo hum dekhte hain yeh hai ke Baitullah Ibrahim (alaihis salam) ki bunyadon par mukammal nahin kiya gaya to woh donon Baitullah ki tarah ho gaye.
Imam Shafi (rz) farmate hain ke hamare khayal ke mutabiq sabab yeh hai ke Baitullah ko Ibrahim (alaihis salam) ki bunyadon par mukammal nahin kiya gaya, lihaza yeh kone bhi Baitullah ki taraf hain.
Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Did you not see that when your people built the Ka'bah, they reduced it from the foundations laid by Abraham (peace be upon him)?" She said, "I said: O Messenger of Allah! Why don't you return it to the foundations of Abraham (peace be upon him)?" The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "If your people had not just recently left disbelief, I would have done it." So Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "If Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) heard this from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), then I think that he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) left touching the corners adjacent to the Black Stone because it was not completed on the foundations of Abraham (peace be upon him)."

(٩٢٤٣) سیدہ عائشہ (رض) فرماتی ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : کیا تو نے نہیں دیکھا کہ تیری قوم نے جب کعبہ بنایا تو انھوں نے ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) کی بنیادوں سے اس کو کم کردیا تو وہ کہنے لگیں : میں نے کہا : اے اللہ کے رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ! تو آپ اسے ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) کی بنیادوں پر واپس کیوں نہیں لوٹا دیتے تو رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اگر تیری قوم کفر کو نئی نئی چھوڑنے والی نہ ہوتی تو میں کردیتا۔ تو عبداللہ بن عمر (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ اگر یہ بات عائشہ (رض) نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے سنی ہے تو میں سمجھتا ہوں کہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اسی وجہ سے حجراسود کے ساتھ والے ارکان کو چھونا ترک کیا ہے کہ اس کو ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) کی بنیادوں پر مکمل نہیں کیا گیا۔
9243 Sayyidah Ayesha (Razi Allahu Anha) farmati hain ki Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: kya tune nahi dekha ki teri qaum ne jab Kaaba banaya to unhon ne Ibrahim (Alaihissalam) ki bunyadon se usko kam kar diya to woh kehne lagi: maine kaha: Aye Allah ke Rasul ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم))! to aap use Ibrahim (Alaihissalam) ki bunyadon par wapas kyun nahi lauta dete to Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: agar teri qaum kufr ko nayi nayi chhorne wali na hoti to main karta. To Abdullah bin Umar (Razi Allahu Anhu) farmate hain ki agar yeh baat Ayesha (Razi Allahu Anha) ne Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) se suni hai to main samajhta hun ki aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne isi wajah se Hajar Aswad ke sath wale arkaan ko chhuna tark kiya hai ki usko Ibrahim (Alaihissalam) ki bunyadon par mukammal nahi kiya gaya.
