Chapter on the sermon on the Day of Sacrifice and that the Day of Sacrifice is the main day of Hajj.
باب الخطبة يوم النحر وأن يوم النحر يوم الحج الأكبر

Abdullah bin Amr bin As (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was delivering the Khutbah of the day of sacrifice, when a man stood up and said: O Messenger of Allah! I used to consider such and such an action better than such and such an action. Then another man stood up and he also said the same. You (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to all three: Do it, there is no harm.

(٩٦١١) عبداللہ بن عمرو بن عاص (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) یوم نحرخطبہ دے رہے تھے، کو تو ایک آدمی کھڑا ہوا اور کہنے لگا : اے اللہ کے رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ! میں تو فلاں فلاں کام فلاں فلاں کام سے پہلے سمجھتا تھا، پھر دوسرا کھڑا ہوا تو اس نے بھی ایسے ہی کہا، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے تینوں کو فرمایا : کرلے ، کوئی حرج نہیں۔
9611 Abdullah bin Amro bin Aas (RA) farmate hain ke Nabi (SAW) Yom e Nahar khutba de rahe thy, ko ek aadmi khara huwa aur kehne laga: Aye Allah ke Rasool (SAW)! Main to falan falan kaam falan falan kaam se pehle samajhta tha, phir dusra khara huwa to usne bhi aise hi kaha, Aap (SAW) ne teeno ko farmaya: Karlo, koi harj nahi.
Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: On the occasion of the Farewell Pilgrimage, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood near the Jamarat and said: "What day is this?" They said: "The Day of Sacrifice (Yawm-un-Nahr)." He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "What city is this?" They said: "The Sanctuary (Haram)." He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked: "What month is this?" They said: "The Sacred Month (Shahr Haram)." He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "This is the Day of the Greatest Hajj. So your blood, your wealth, and your honors are sacred and inviolable upon you on this day in this city, like the sanctity of this day." Then he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Have I conveyed the message?" They said: "Yes." So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "O Allah! Be my witness." Then he bade farewell to the people, and they said: "This is the Farewell Pilgrimage."

(٩٦١٣) ابن عمر (رض) فرماتے ہیں : حجۃ الوداع کے موقع پر نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) جمرات کے پاس کھڑے ہوئے اور فرمایا : یہ کون سا دن ہے انھوں نے کہا : یومِ نحر آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : یہ کون سا شہر ہے ؟ انھوں نے کہا : حرم ہے، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے پوچھا : یہ کون سا مہینہ ہے ؟ انھوں نے کہا : شہر حرام آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : یہ حج اکبر کا دن ہے تو تمہارے خون، مال اور عزتیں تم پر اس دن میں اس شہر کی حرمت کی طرح حرام ہیں، پھر فرمایا : کیا میں نے تبلیغ کردی ؟ انھوں نے کہا : ہاں تو رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کہنے لگے : اے اللہ ! گواہ ہوجا، پھر لوگوں کو الوداع کہا تو انھوں نے کہا : یہ حجۃ الوداع ہے۔
(9613) Ibn Umar (rz) farmate hain : Hajjatul wida ke mauqe par Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) jamarat ke pass kharay huye aur farmaya : Ye kaun sa din hai unhon ne kaha : Yaum e nahar Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : Ye kaun sa shehar hai ? Unhon ne kaha : Haram hai, Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne poocha : Ye kaun sa mahina hai ? Unhon ne kaha : Shehre Haram Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : Ye Hajj Akbar ka din hai to tumhare khoon, maal aur izzati tum par is din mein is shehar ki hurmat ki tarah haram hain, phir farmaya : Kia maine tabligh kardi ? Unhon ne kaha : Haan to Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) kehne lage : Aye Allah ! Gawah hoja, phir logon ko alwida kaha to unhon ne kaha : Ye Hajjatul wida hai.
Abu Bakra (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) delivered a sermon to us on the day of Nahr (slaughtering of sacrifices). He said, "Do you know what day is this?" We said, "Allah and His Messenger know best." You (the Prophet) remained silent until we thought you might give it another name. Then you said, "Is it not the day of Nahr?" We replied, "Yes, it is." He then said, "Do you know what month this is?" We said, "Allah and His Messenger know best." You remained silent until we thought you might give it another name. Then you said, "Is it not Dhul-Hijjah?" We replied, "Yes, it is." You then said, "Do you know what city this is?" We said, "Allah and His Messenger know best." You remained silent until we thought you might give it another name. Then you said, "Is it not the Haram (sacred city)?" We said, "Yes, it is." Then you said, "Your blood, your property, and your honor are as sacred to one another as the sanctity of this day, in this month, in this city. Have I conveyed the message?" We said, "Yes!" Then you said, "Let those who are present convey it to those who are absent, for perhaps someone who is being told may remember it better than one who has heard it directly. Beware! Do not become disbelievers after me by striking each other's necks."

(٩٦١٤) ابوبکرہ (رض) فرماتے ہیں : ہمیں نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے نحر والے دن خطبہ دیا تو فرمایا : یہ کون سا دن ہے ؟ ہم نے کہا : اللہ اور اس کے رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ہی بہتر جانتے ہیں، آپ خاموش ہوگئے حتیٰ ہم سمجھنے لگے آپ اس کو کوئی نیا نام دیں گے تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : کیا یہ یوم نحر نہیں ہے، ہم نے کہا : کیوں نہیں، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : یہ کون سا مہینہ ہے، ہم نے کہا : اللہ اور اس کا رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ہی بہتر جانتے ہیں، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) خاموش رہے، حتیٰ کہ ہم نے سمجھا شاید اس کا کوئی نیا نام رکھیں گے، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : کیا یہ ذوالحجہ نہیں ! ہے ہم نے کہا : کیوں نہیں ، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : یہ کون سا شہر ہے ؟ ہم نے کہا : اللہ اور اس کا رسول ہی زیادہ جانتے ہیں، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) خاموش رہے حتیٰ کہ ہم نے سمجھا کہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) اس کا کوئی اور نام رکھیں گے، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : کیا یہ شہر نہیں ہے ! ہم نے کہا : کیوں نہیں۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : تمہارے خون تمہارے اس دن میں اس مہینے میں اس شہر کی حرمت کی طرح محترم ہیں، اے اللہ ! کیا میں نے پہنچا دیا ہے ، انھوں نے کہا : جی ہاں ! پھر آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : تم میں سے جو حاضر ہے وہ غیر حاضر تک پہنچا دے، کتنے ہی وہ لوگ ہیں جن کو بات پہنچائی جاتی ہے سننے والوں سے زیادہ یاد رکھنے والے ہوتے ہیں، خبردار ! میرے بعد کافر نہ ہوجانا کہ ایک دوسرے کی گردنیں مارنے لگو۔
(9614) AboBakrah (RA) farmate hain : humain Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne nahar wale din khutba diya to farmaya : yeh kaun sa din hai ? hum ne kaha : Allah aur us ke Rasul ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) hi behtar jante hain, aap khamosh hogaye hatta hum samajhne lage aap is ko koi naya naam denge to aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : kya yeh Yaum-e-Nahar nahin hai, hum ne kaha : kyun nahin, aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : yeh kaun sa mahina hai, hum ne kaha : Allah aur is ka Rasul ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) hi behtar jante hain, aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) khamosh rahe, hatta ke hum ne samjha shayad is ka koi naya naam rakhenge, aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : kya yeh Zul-Hajjah nahin hai ! hai hum ne kaha : kyun nahin , aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : yeh kaun sa shehar hai ? hum ne kaha : Allah aur is ka Rasul hi zyada jante hain, aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) khamosh rahe hatta ke hum ne samjha ke aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) is ka koi aur naam rakhenge, aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : kya yeh Makkah nahin hai ! hum ne kaha : kyun nahin. Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : tumhare khoon tumhare is din mein is mahine mein is shehar ki hurmat ki tarah mohtaram hain, aye Allah ! kya maine pahuncha diya hai , unhon ne kaha : ji haan ! phir aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : tum mein se jo hazir hai woh ghair hazir tak pahuncha de, kitne hi woh log hain jin ko baat pahunchai jati hai sunne walon se zyada yaad rakhne wale hote hain, khabardar ! mere baad kafir na hojaana ke ek dusre ki gardanen marne lago.
Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) delivered a sermon to us on the day of sacrifice and said: "Do not revert to disbelief after me by striking (cutting) the necks of one another."

(٩٦١٥) ابوبکرہ (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ ہمیں رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے نحر والے دن خطبہ دیا اور فرمایا : میرے بعد کفر کی حالت میں نہ لوٹ جانا کہ ایک دوسرے کی گردنیں مارنے لگو۔
(9615) abubakar (rz) farmate hain ki hamen rasool allah (sallallahu alaihi wa aalihi wasallam) ne nahr wale din khutba diya aur farmaya : mere baad kufr ki halat mein na laut jana ki ek doosre ki gardanen marne lago.
Harmalah bin Ziad (May Allah be pleased with him) narrated: "I was a young boy, and my father seated me behind him (on his mount). I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) delivering the Khutbah (sermon) on his she-camel on the Day of Nahr (Eid-ul-Adha) at Mina."

(٩٦١٦) ہرماس بن زیاد (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ میں چھوٹا بچہ تھا، مجھے میرے والد نے اپنے پیچھے سوار کیا ہوا تھا، میں نے نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو منیٰ میں عیدالاضحی والے دن اپنی اونٹنی پر خطبہ دیتے ہوئے دیکھا۔
9616 harmas bin ziyad (rz) farmate hain ke main chhota bachcha tha mujhe mere walid ne apne peechhe sawar kiya hua tha main ne nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ko mina mein eid-ul-azha wale din apni untni par khutba dete hue dekha
Abu Umama (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: I heard the sermon of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in Mina on the day of Nahr (sacrifices).

(٩٦١٧) ابوامامہ (رض) فرماتے ہیں : میں نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کا خطبہ منیٰ میں نحر والے دن سنا۔
(9617) AbuUmama (RA) farmate hain : mein ne Rasool Allah (SAW) ka khutba Mina mein nahar wale din suna.
Rafi bin 'Amr Mizni (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) addressing the people at Mina on the day of sacrifice when the sun had risen high. He was riding a white mule and Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) was repeating his words to the people.

(٩٦١٨) رافع بن عمرومزنی (رض) فرماتے ہیں : میں نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو منیٰ میں لوگوں سے اس وقت خطاب کرتے ہوئے سنا جب سورج بلند ہوا ، آپ سفید خچر پر سوار تھے اور علی (رض) آپ کی بات دہرا کر لوگوں تک پہنچا رہے تھے۔
9618 rafi bin amr muzani raz farmate hain : mainne rasool allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko mina mein logon se us waqt khitab karte hue suna jab sooraj buland hua , aap safaid khachar par sawar the aur ali raz aap ki baat dohrane logon tak pahuncha rahe the.
Rafi' bin 'Amr al-Muzani reported: I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), on the Day of Sacrifice during his Farewell Pilgrimage, delivering the sermon while sitting on his white mule.

(٩٦١٩) رافع بن عمرو مزنی فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو نحر والے دن حجۃ الوداع کے موقع پر سفید خچر پر خطبہ دیتے دیکھا۔
9619 Rafi bin Amr Muzni farmate hain ke maine Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko nahar wale din Hajjat alwida ke mauqe par safaid khachar par khutba dete dekha.
