Chapter on the Sunnah of Adhan for All Prayers After Their Time Has Entered
باب السنة في الأذان لسائر الصلوات بعد دخول الوقت
Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 1805
(1805) It is narrated on the authority of Hadrat Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that Hadrat Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) used to give the call to prayer (Adhan) when the sun would set. Then he would not stand until he saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). When he saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), he would say the Iqamah (the second call to prayer).

(١٨٠٥) سیدنا جابر بن سمرہ (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ سیدنا بلال (رض) اذان دیتے تھے، جب سورج ڈھل جاتا، پھر کھڑے نہیں ہوتے تھے یہاں تک کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو نہ دیکھ لیتے، جب آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو دیکھ لیتے۔ تو اقامت کہتے۔
1805 Syedna Jabir bin Samrah (RA) se riwayat hai ke Syedna Bilal (RA) azaan dete thay, jab sooraj dhal jata, phir khare nahi hote thay yahan tak ke Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ko na dekh lete, jab Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ko dekh lete to iqamat kehte.
Malik ibn Huwayrith reported: I came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, with a delegation of my people. We stayed with him for twenty days and he was very kind and merciful. When the Prophet saw our longing for our families, he said, “Return to your families and stay with them. Teach them and pray. When the time for prayer comes, let one of you give the call to prayer and let the eldest among you lead the prayer.”

(١٨٠٦) سیدنا مالک بن حویرث (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ میں اپنی قوم کی ایک جماعت میں نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس آیا، ہم نے آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس بیس دن قیام کیا اور آپ بہت رحیم اور شفیق تھے، جب آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ہمارے اہل کی طرف ہمارا شوق دیکھا تو فرمایا : تم لوٹ جاؤ اور ان میں رہو، ان کو سکھاؤ اور نماز پڑھو، جب نماز کا وقت ہوجائے تو تم میں سے کوئی اذان دے اور تم میں سے بڑا تمہاری امامت کرائے۔
1806 Saidna Malik bin Huwairith (RA) se riwayat hai ki main apni qaum ki aik jamaat mein Nabi (SAW) ke paas aaya hum ne aap (SAW) ke paas bees din qayam kya aur aap bahut raheem aur shafiq thay jab aap (SAW) ne humare ahal ki taraf hamara shauq dekha to farmaya tum laut jao aur un mein raho un ko sikhao aur namaz parho jab namaz ka waqt ho jaye to tum mein se koi azaan de aur tum mein se bada tumhari imamat karaye
(1807) The owner says: The morning call to prayer was always given before dawn; apart from that, we did not keep track of the prayers. Their call to prayer was given when their prescribed time began.

(١٨٠٧) مالک کہتے ہیں : صبح ہمیشہ فجر سے پہلے اذان دی جاتی رہی، اس کے علاوہ نمازیں کا ہم خیال نہیں کرتے تھے، ان کی اذان تب دی جاتی تھی جب ان کا مشروع وقت شروع جاتا۔
(1807) malik kahte hain : subah hamesha fajar se pehle azaan di jati rahi, is ke ilawa namazen ka hum khayaal nahin karte the, in ki azaan tab di jati thi jab in ka mashru waqt shuru jata.
Imam Shafi'i (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "The adhan of Fajr should be given after its time (i.e., after the start time of the prayer) because I do not know of anyone who narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that he gave the adhan for any prayer before its time except for Fajr. And we have seen our muezzins giving the adhan after the time of prayer begins, except for Fajr." (1808)

(١٨٠٨) امام شافعی (رح) فرماتے ہیں کہ صبح کی اذان اس کے وقت کے بعد دی جائے۔ اس لیے کہ میں کسی کو نہیں جانتا جس نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے روایت نقل کی ہو کہ آپ نے نمازِ فجر کے علاوہ کسی دوسری نماز کے لیے اس کے وقت سے پہلے اذان دی ہو اور ہم نے اپنے مؤذنوں کو نماز کا وقت داخل ہونے کے بعد اذان دیتے ہوئے دیکھا ہے سوائے نماز فجر کے۔
